INTRODUCTION ON SELF
Maximilian Mac Donald Nusius is my name, and I'm 19 years old. I took the
Diploma in Accountancy and am currently enrolled in my first semester at the
University Technology Mara (UITM) branch in Sabah. I was born and raised in
the peaceful village of Kg. Limputong with my three siblings. Right now, I'm
trying my best to settle into university life. This assignment is about a reflection
on my learning experience on Communication (Chapter 8), Quality (Chapter 9)
and Islamic Management (Chapter 10) for the course Fundamentals of
Management (MGT 162). I've provided summaries for each chapter that
describe the difficulties I had learning each one and how I overcome them.
A man is a blend of his good points and bad points. Both of them are a
person's personality. One's attitudes, behaviours, and ways of thinking reflect
both their strengths and limitations. Some people are born with several
strengths, but others must gradually develop them. Everyone, however, needs to
focus on their individual limitations. Knowing your talents and weaknesses is
crucial for personal development.
classroom. This allows me to use the internet to excite their minds, which can
serve as the foundation for effective education.
As for my flaws, they are quite easy for me to identify. I'd say I'm a slacker
when it comes to learning subjects that don't interest me. I'm unwilling to put up
the effort to learn things that I'm not interested in, which is easily my worst
habit because success does not come without effort. I also have a poor tendency
to put off tasks like homework and studying until the last minute. The only
thing that motivated me to work was a sudden surge of enthusiasm brought on
by seeing successful people on the internet and desiring to be like them
someday. Not only that, but the nearing deadline forced me to complete my
work and try my best to avoid procrastination in order to meet the deadline for
submitting my assignments.
Chapter 8: Communication
The act of communicating involves conveying information to others in an
effort to elicit a reaction. A manager needs to interact with employees
effectively so that every work is completely flawless. There are eight
components that make up the communication process:
Noise 8 Elements
Message
8 Barriers Language
Poor Listening
Characteristics
Chapter 9: Quality
Chapter 9 discusses the quality component of management. This chapter
raises the issue of how a company's offerings—including its products, methods
of production, and use of resources—can improve customer happiness. By
breaking down and analysing how the business functions, how it can be
improved, what kinds of issues it is now facing and what is causing them, how
to best and most effectively address them, and how it could be improved, we
must think about how we can improve. To ensure that our performance is
improved from the start, we must assess each of these factors.
Chapter 8: Communication
Chapter 9: Quality
The Islamic Management chapter claims that it has been practised ever since
the advent of Islam. I discovered that by applying Islamic management
principles, a successful outcome may be expected in the majority of situations. I
gain a better understanding of how Islam's influence on management
outperforms that of other management viewpoints. The qualities and values of
Islamic leaders, Islamic management concepts, and Islamic Whether they are
official or informal, all management roles stress the significance of
incorporating Islamic beliefs into the workplace. be honest and accountable;
consider the whole, not just yourself; and work on being polite in your
communication .The responsibilities of planning, organising, leading, and
controlling are all included in Islamic management.(POLC), which differs
slightly from traditional management. In terms of Islamic management, POLC
is centred on Islamic doctrine and adheres to the Sunnah.
DIFFICULTIES/CHALLENGES I ENCOUNTERED
I don't have many issues attempting to understand the chapters. But when I
initially learned about the chapters, I found it difficult to understand them. The
fact that the lesson was delivered online using Google Meet concerns me greatly
because the internet connection in the dorm isn't particularly reliable. The video
lags so much during lectures that I frequently lose my place. plus the noisy
surroundings. Additionally, since I don't have a laptop, I always use my phone
during online classes, which makes me less interested in them. I could have
seen the text and the slides the lecturer had produced or given me more clearly
if I had a laptop, which would have made things simpler. I still find it tough to
focus and listen to the lecture because of my surroundings. Throughout the
online class, I frequently feel sleepy, lethargic, and demotivated.
not to sleep too late so that I may maximise my energy for the day and focus on
whatever the lecturer has prepared for me.
