Introduction:
Foreign Policy: National governments use their foreign policies to guide their diplomatic relations and
interactions with other countries. A country’s foreign policy helps advance its political and economic
objectives in the international arena, as well as reflecting its values and aspirations.
The three most important goals of American foreign policy are security, prosperity, and achieving a better
world. Throughout its long history, the United States has sought security in many ways, but security and
