Lesson one: P.1
A. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson Ss will be able to:
- Identify and remember the names of job
- Practice listening, reading and speaking skill in communicative situations to Talk
about jobs.
- Develop students’s groupwork, independent working, pair-works, cooperative
learning and communicative competence ability.
- Learn something to improve themselves and social skills in communication and co-
operation.
* Moral lesson: Students should know more about someone’s job. Love work, be proud of
occupation, eager to learn.
B. LANGUAGE FOCUS:
* Vocabulary: doctor, nurse, cleaner, driver, hospital
* Structures: What’s (her) job?

II. PRESENTATION - Observation

Task 1: Introduction
Arrange the flashcards on the board: doctor, nurse,
cleaner, driver, hospital
Play audio and have students listen and repeat. Point to
the flashcards along with the audio. Repeat several times.
Task 2: Listen and repeat
Arrange the flashcards on the board: doctor, nurse,
cleaner, driver, hospital
Play audio and have students listen and repeat. Point to
the flashcards along with the audio. Repeat several
times.
Task 3: Listen, point and say
Show flash cards to teach vocabulary.

Introduces the new words: doctor, nurse, cleaner,


driver, hospital
Have Ss listen and repeat chorally/ individuals.
Have Ss play “ Jump” game.
Ask Ss to open their books and have them listen, point
and repeat after CD2 track 30 twice.
Call some Ss to read the words.
III. PRACTICE
* Aim: Help Ss read vocabulary fluently. Check Ss’
understanding and improve reading skill. - Observation.

Task 4: Practice the words (CD4- Track 01) - Peer – correction.

Ask the children to practice 6 words in pairs by using - Q&A

IV. PRODUCTION:
+ Aim: Help Ss review vocabulary. Check Ss’

Task 5: Play game “Chain game” - Peer – correction.
Have one student ask “Where are you from?” Then ask - Game
her/ his friend answer then continue with another students

Have students change the books and check.

Play audio / CD4- track 37 and have Ss listen twice.
Have Ss read the dialogue in groups. - Observation

Correct their mistakes about pronunciation.
Task 4: Practice the structure:
Have students look at the pictures then ask:

work?/Does he take care of people?
