Instructions for printing the patterns

- Print the sheets from any printer homely, Letter Size sheet

- Check the printer conguration rst:

1) Page size: Letter Size (8.5 x 11 inches)
2) Orientation: Portrait
3) Scale: No scaling / only to 100%

- On page 1 there is a 5cm x 5cm (1.96 x 1.96 inches) square that you can use to verify that
your print be the correct one and the pattern is at the correct scale.

- Match the leaves according to the numbering and indications of the diagram (see the last
page of the le).

- Do not trim the sheets, Do not overlap the sheets, join the sheets by the edges with tape.

- Pattern ready to use!

Once the patterns have been printed and the selected size has been plotted on the nal paper,

Step-by-step
Note: Prewash your fabric and tumble dry it until it is still slightly moist, dry
at room temperature. Iron the fabric so it is easier to work with.
1- Stitch the shoulder seams together, right sides facing.
2- Press fusible interfacing to the placket.
Find the center neck point on the front
of your shirt. The center line in this
picture is shown in red. Measure to t
he right 3/8 (wearer’s left).

Align the center line of the placket with

the black line, with fabric right sides
together. Pin the placket to the shirt in
several places, but not covering the center
line. Make sure the placket is perfectly
square on the shirt.

Step-by-step
Use a very small seam allowance to sew the
placket to the shirt around the center line.
At the neckline, start with about 1/8”. As you
approach the short horizontal marked line,
decrease your stitch length to make sure the
point is very secure. Angle in to a point at
the horizontal line. Stop with your needle down right on the line. Turn the shirt
around and repeat to sew back up to the neckline, again angling out until
you’re using a 1/8” seam allowance again.

Use sharp scissors to very carefully cut down

the center line, through the shirt and placket.
Cut almost to the bottom point, but do not cut
through the stitches.

Press the long edges of each side of the

placket 1/4” toward the wrong side.

Step-by-step
Flip the entire placket to the inside of the
shirt. Maintain the pressed edges and press
the placket perfectly at against the shirt.
On the right (shorter) side of the placket,
edgestitch along the fold from the neckline
to the bottom of the slit. Pull thread tails to
the wrong side of the shirt and tie them off at the bottom of this seam so you
don’t have to backstitch.

Fold the wider side of the placket wrong

sides together until the pressed fold is just
covering the stitch line at the slit and the
folded edge

new folded edge is just covering the right

side of the placket.

Once again, edgestitch along the folded

edge from neckline to the end of the slit,
or top stitch this seam after marking it on
the front. Pull thread tails to the wrong side
and tie off instead of backstitching.
On the right side of the shirt, top stitch a
horizontal seam at the end of the placket
stitch lines to secure both plackets on top of one another and the shirt front together.

Step-by-step
On the inside of the shirt, there will be
placket tails hanging free below the
horizontal securing stitch.
Serge straight across mine to cut them
and nish them in the same step.
Determine your buttonhole placement
based on your button size. Space them evenly, remembering to leave 1/4” at
the top for the neckband seam allowance plus at least another 1/4” before
starting your rst buttonhole.
Sew on the corresponding buttons.
3- Fold your neckband right sides together and sew the short edges.

Flip out and align to the edge of one placket at center front. Pin the neckband
and neckline together at the quarter marks before sewing and then stretch
between pins while sewing. Press the seam allowances down toward the shirt.
Steam them in place really well. Starting at center front, top stitch around the
edge of the placket on the shirt, catching the seam allowances underneath.
4- Then, open the t-shirt so you can see both, front and back bodices. Add the
sleeves to the side of the top. Start pinning from the center of the cap and
shoulder seams to the sides. Then, stitch them together with an overlocking
stitch or zig zag stitch.

Step-by-step
5- After, adding the sleeves, fold the t-shirt again and stitch the sleeve sides
and the bodice sides together, right sides facing. Then, press the seams at.
6- Finally, fold the cuffs and the hemline 1 inch to the inside. Press it at.
Now, zig zag the cuffs and hemline.
Iron all your top and done! Enjoy your new creation!
