SLV20
Introduction

The SLV20 valve is a compact, lightweight solution for low-flow applications that require load
sensing and flow sharing. Designed in sections to facilitate stacking of multiple functions,
the SLV20 utilizes the new Eaton ESV9 four-way three-position proportional solenoid cartridge
valve in a hydraulic integrated circuit concept.

Features, Benefits & Applications

• Load sensing and priority • Eaton ESV9 four-way • Patent-pending
flow sharing for low-flow three-position proportional multifunction compensator
machinery with the flexibility solenoid cartridge valve reduces section size by
of screw-in cartridge valves features best-in-class 40%, making overall system
hysteresis and flow simple and compact
• Pre- and post-compensation performance
options offer flow sharing • Pro-FX Ready™ for easy
and flow prioritization • Aluminium sections reduce integration with other Eaton
weight, which can increase Pro-FX Ready products
• Multiple inlet section options efficiency, load carrying
accommodate range of capability and battery life • Can be used in open-center
pump options and closed-center systems
• Load control section offers
• Flexible mounting stable load control • Configurable functionality &
improved serviceability
• Low system cost

The main advantage of this system is flexibility. SLV20 valve sections are manufactured from aluminium drawn bar, which
makes it possible to produce small batches of individual sections with added functions, such as pilot-operated check valves or
counterbalance valves, or other more customised requests. This reduces the need for remotely mounted ancillary valves to perform
other system functions. Sequencing and regeneration can also be achieved using this method.

The SLV20 valve offers the ideal flow rate for mini and micro machinery platforms in the following industries:
• Construction: excavators, wheel loaders, skid steer loaders, trenchers
• Agriculture: smaller tractors and tractor attachments
• Material handling: spider cranes, truck-mounted cranes, various aerial work platforms, lift trucks, telehandlers
• Vocational vehicles: snow and ice management, road sweepers, lawnmowers
• Auxiliary/accessory control on larger machines i.e. outriggers

Where measurements are critical request certified drawings. We reserve the right to change specifications without notice.

pump saturation, where flow demand exceeds the pump flow,
post compensation provides flow sharing as the highest actuator

Introduction

Priority Flow Sharing

By combining post-compensated and pre-compensated sections in a single assembly, priority flow sharing can be achieved. During
pump saturation condition flow to actuators connected to post-compensated sections is reduced proportionally, while at the same
time flow to actuators connected to pre-compensated sections maintain a constant flow rate. This allows for function prioritisation
while enhancing system the safety and efficiency.

The load sense shuttle option is for when the SLV20 and

variable displacement pump. The LS shuttle will compare the
load sense signal from SLV20 and the other load sense valve
and communicate the highest load signal back to the variable
displacement pump so it can fulfil the requirement of both
valves.
