We are delighted to have your child join us at Star Learners @ , and warmly welcome
him/ her to our world, where stories come alive.

Through our unique literature-based curriculum, we are sure your child will grow and learn through our fun and
engaging activities. We believe that the Star Learners journey will inspire your child to develop into a confident and
creative individual with character!

In the meantime, here are some important things we need you to note:

 Your registration is only considered valid upon full payment of the deposit and non-refundable registration
fee.
 Our registration policy does not allow for deferment after enrolment. We encourage you to carefully
consider your child’s enrolment decision prior to submitting your registration to ensure that you are ready
to begin your child’s Star Learners journey at the scheduled start date.
 In the unfortunate event that your child is unable to commence his/ her Star Learners journey, your
withdrawal notice must be provided to the centre in writing. Should your notice be less than 2 full calendar
months, your deposit will be forfeited.

To help me better understand my role as a parent of the newest Star Learners’ Hero, the following
documents have been shared with me:
1. ECDA Guide for Parents with Children in Childcare Centres
2. Star Learners Parents’ Handbook

I am aware and agreeable to the important terms highlighted:

 The criteria to be eligible for government subsidy: Produce the necessary information
and documentary evidence for verification when required (Non-disclosure of a change in
employment status is an offence and the applicant is liable to prosecution).

 Withdrawal: A chargeable trial period of two weeks is extended to every new enrolment.
Parents must give a ONE-day notice in writing should the child withdraw during the trial
period. After the trial, parents must give the centre at least ONE calendar month’s notice
with regards to withdrawal of the child, failing which the deposit will be forfeited. For
withdrawals for December, a notice of TWO calendar months must be provided.
Withdrawals must be made with the submission of an eWithdrawal Form via the Star
Learners Parents App. The last day of attendance can only be at the end of the month.

 Authorised Pick-Up: In the event where both parents cannot be reached, the emergency
contact persons will be authorised to pick up my child/ ward. I understand that it is my
responsibility to inform the Centre of other authorised person(s) to fetch my child/ ward from
the Centre. I understand that at Star Learners, the recommended age is at least 18 years old.
It is also my responsibility to provide information such as the name, NRIC/ Passport/ FIN
number, of such person(s) promptly to the Centre. The Centre reserves the right to refuse the
release of my child/ ward if in doubt.

I hereby agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Centre from and against any and
all losses, demands, liabilities, costs and expenses suffered or incurred as a result of, or in
connection with, any claims, whether by myself or any third parties, arising out of, due to, or
in connection with, directly or indirectly, the release of my child/ ward by the Centre in
accordance with this authorization form.
 Emergency Medical Care: Allow for necessary steps to be taken in during for emergency
cases in the event parents cannot be contacted. These steps may include: calling a
physician, calling for an ambulance or bringing the child to the nearest clinic or hospital in the
company of a staff member. All medical expenses incurred will be borne by parents/
guardians.
 Photographs or Videos of Children: The centre reserves the right to use photographs or
videos of children in any documents, media or mediums relating solely to Star Learners
Group Pte Ltd, as well as its enrichment partners. Parents can be assured that the centre will
not abuse or misuse them fraudulently.
 Privacy Policy: Give consent to Star Learners, its subsidiaries and affiliate companies to
process my personal data, including collection and use and disclosure of my personal data in
the manner as set out in the Privacy Policy. Please read the full Privacy Policy on our website
