Michael Joseph Jackson was an American singer, a songwriter, a

producer, a dancer, a choreographer, an actor and a businessman. He was


the seventh of nine children. He was born on August 29, 1958 in Gary,
Indiana, an industrial suburb of Chicago. His mother was called Katherine
Jackson and his father, Joseph Jackson. When he was a child, he sang with
his brothers, but he started a solo career in 1971. His best album was Thriller.
Michael popularized several physically complicated dance moves, such as the
robot and the moonwalk. He got married twice, first in 1994 and again in
1996 and he had three kids called Prince Jackson I, Prince Jackson II and
Paris. One of them was born to a surrogate mother.
His personal life generated significant controversy. His changing appearance
was noticed from the early 1980s, with changes to the shape of his nose and to

* Content Area: Intermediate students

* Objectives: -To develop the students skills (listen, speak and read);

- To know about past actions;

- To know about Michael and the way that he used his song to talk about important things;

* Class Organization: The chairs will be in pairs;

* Pre-Lesson Preparation: - All students will take a look at the table, listen to the words and find the words
with the same sound. (15 minutes)

* Revision of the Vocabulary:- ( war, sickness, bombs, worry, global warming, pollution, etc…);(5 minutes)

* Dynamic time: The students will listen to the song and complete the gaps with the correct words. After that,
they will take a look at the poster and link it with the song. (20 minutes)

* Review of the prior lesson: - The teachers will review the grammar. Then, they will read Michael Jackson’s
biography and answer some questions about it. (30 minutes)
