“The Hind”

General meaning about the poem:
Sir Thomas Wyatt dose-not speak about a real animal is his poem, “The
Hind” refers to Queen Anne Boleyn.
Sir Wyatt uses “The Hind” image because both are beautiful, gracefully
and uncatchable.
Stanza 1:
Sir Wyatt, decides to stop chasing the queen (Anne Boleyn). Because
when he was trying to get her that makes him so tired.
And all the attempts to get her was useless.
Stanza 2:
Sir Thomas cannot stop thinking about the Queen(Anne Boleyn) and he
cannot get her at the same time. So he decides to leave her.
Because trying to get her is impossible, just like trying to keep the wind
in a net.
Stanza 3:
trying to get the Queen is a waste of time, because she belongs to
caesar (King Henry vIII).
The Queen diamond necklace carries a warning to keep away from her.

The poet uses “The Hind” as his tittle.
“The Hind” is not a real animal, it refers to Queen (Anne Boleyn). Both
the hind and the queen are beautiful and uncatchable.
Theme: it is an expression of sadness and pain.
Because, sir Wyatt fails to get the queen.
Imagery:
1- Hunting = Love.
2- Hunter and hunters = Sir Wyatt is the hunter, while the hunters are
other men.
3- Prey = Queen Anne Boleyn.
4- Wind in a net = it stands for the impossibility of getting the Queen.
5- Caesar = he refers to King Henry VIII.
6- The diamond necklace = it refers to the Prey's high social class, it also
stands as a warning.
The Tone :
It is a sad tone, which is full of disappointment because he (Sir Thomas
Wyatt) fails to get the Queen
