The guitar is a string instrument that

has six strings total. When the guitar is plucked
or strummed, the strings create vibrations in
the wooden body of the instrument producing
sound. The tuning pegs are designed to tighten
& or loosen the strings to adjust the pitch. The
bridge holds the other end of the strings tight,
where there is a sound hole. This is the end of
the guitar that is plucked or strummed. The left
hand fingers are used to press down on the
frets are on the fret board.

There are six Strings

on the guitar. The
tunings of these strings
are the notes E, A, D, G,
B & E. In order to get the
strings to play these
correct pitches, we
adjust the tuning pegs.

The frets are named by

number from the bottom of the
neck to the top. The first fret at
the bottom of the fretboard is
fret one. Some frets have dots
to give visual cues and help
locate fret numbers in the
center of the fretboard. Frets 3,
5, and 7 typically have dots.
