and the pronoun. It is used to describe the noun and pronoun in a sentence.

Adjectives help in giving us more information about a noun or pronoun by
describing it or providing more information about it.

Adjectives:
There are 8 types of Adjectives,
They are: Descriptive adjective, Numeral adjective, Quantitative adjective,
Demonstrative adjective, Interrogative adjective, Possessive adjective, Proper
adjective, and Distributive adjective.

Descriptive Adjective:

An adjective that points to a particular person or thing is called a Descriptive

adjective. Used to describe the quality of the person, animals, things, etc. These
can be used as the subject complement of a sentence as it describes the noun or
pronoun by expressing its quality.
Example:
1. We ate the sweet apples.
2. I always like hot weather.
3. The Himalayas is the coolest place in India.
4. He was a young man

Demonstrative Adjective:
Demonstrative adjectives are used to identify or express the relative position of
a noun in time or space. It modifies a noun or pronoun in a sentence while
emphasising its importance.

Examples:
1. This kitten is here
2. That kitten is running.
3. These are cute puppies.

5. This is an example of an adjective.

Distributive Adjective:
A distributive adjective is an adjective that refers to members of a group
individually. We use distributive adjectives to refer to singular nouns that
usually include a collective group or more than one person.
Examples:
1. Every child reacted in the same way.
2. The children enjoyed the rain.
3. I drink milk every day.
4. Any person can join the club.
5. Each player scored a goal.

Interrogative adjective:
An adjective that modifies a noun by asking a question is called an Interrogative
Adjective. Examples are: "what," "which," and "whose." These modify the
nouns and are used in interrogative sentences.

Example:

Numerical Adjective:
Numeral adjectives are numbers or numerical orders that describe the number of
nouns or the order of the noun being described. These provide more details and
accurate information in a sentence.
Examples:
1. He won three badges in the competition.
2. There were seven rooms in my house.
3. Two girls are talking to each other.
4. There are five rooms in a house.

Quantitative Adjective:
Quantifying adjectives are adjectives that describe the amount of a thing,
without specifically measuring its quantity.
Examples:
1. She wrote a huge amount of books.
2. He speaks the least in his group.
3. I have a big balloon.
4. The whole class is silent.
5. She has many clothes to wear for her birthday party.

Proper Adjective:
An adjective that is formed from a proper noun and that is usually capitalized in
English is called a Proper Adjective.
Examples:
1. The British prime minister will visit soon.
2. I love my new Georgian life.
3. He is a Buddhist.
4. Mexican food is as spicy if not more than Indian food.
5. The Chinese medical association formally apologised for keeping the
medical advancements under wraps.

Possessive adjective:
A possessive adjective sits before a noun or even a pronoun to show who or
what owns it.
Example:
1. He is riding my bike.
2. This is your book.
3. She took his book yesterday itself.
4. The dog ate my lunch.

Complement Something that completes, or makes better or perfect by filling

Emphasizing Giving special importance or value to (something) in speaking

or writing.

Capitalized Written in a capital letter or in capital letters.

Specifically In a way that is very on point and exact.

Individually One by one or singly or separately.
