This chart gives information about the fish and meat consumption over 25-year period from 1979 to

2004.

In general, it can be seen that the trend for the chicken consumption was upward while there was a
downward trend for lamb, beef and fish consumption.

In 1979 a person eat the chicken around 145 grams per week. This figure grew steadily and in 1980
overtook the lamb consumption. In 1989 the chicken consumption overtook the amount of the beef that
eat the person per week. In 2003 the quantity of grams per person per week of the chicken reached a
peak of around 255 grams. This figure was the highest among others fish and meat consumptions.

In 1979 the beef consumptions was around 215 grams. In 1982 the amount of the beef that eat the
person per week reached a peak of 240 grams. From 1982 to 2004 this figure reduce gradually and in
2002 reached a dip of around 105 grams per person per week. In 1979 the lamb consumption was
around 150. This figure decreased steadily and in 1999 reached a dip of around 65 grams. The fish
consumption in 1979 was the lowest, around 60 grams per person per week. This figure reduce
gradually and in 1999 reached a dip of around 42 grams.
