Brielle Buss has completed the first of three planned interviews for her documentary on addiction. The initial interview lasted 10 minutes and provided detailed answers that will contribute to her research. By the end of the week, she aims to complete all three interviews so that she can begin editing them together into the 20-minute documentary. Brielle anticipates that editing may take one to two weeks, though she has little experience in that area. She has organized her notes and sections in preparation for editing the interviews along with her other research into a cohesive documentary.

As of yesterday, I completed my first interview for my documentary. As planned, I asked
an individual a series of questions related to addiction. The individual I was talking to yesterday provided detailed answers for me to use. Their answers will be used to contribute to my research being presented regarding addiction. The documentary will be roughly 20 minutes long. The interview I recorded yesterday was about 10 minutes. Once I have done all three interviews, I will take out my favourite answers from each interviewer and combine them together. By the end of this week, I am planning to have all three interviews completed. I have an interview arranged for Wednesday, December 6th. After the interviews are complete, I will be able to put everything into the documentary and begin the editing process. I am guessing that the editing process will take me roughly a week or two. I have hardly any experience with editing, and I am hoping it works out. I may have troubles with the editing and find myself frustrated while trying to complete the task. I have all the necessary information for my documentary. I have had my notes and information completed for about a month now. I am going to organize the sections of my documentary before starting and divide it into parts to make it easier to display all the information, so it makes sense. Some skills I have employed during this section of my capstone are communication and personal awareness and responsibility. My communication skills allowed me to connect with others, others being the interviewers. The interview I completed went well and will contribute to my project the way I wanted it to. I also struggled to advocate for myself and gain motivation to follow through with the rest of my capstone project. I am hopeful that everything will turn out and the interview on Wednesday will go just as well as the one yesterday did.
