BIM INTEGRATION CAPABILITIES of ACONEX CDE and BIM 360

Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM 360):

1. Comprehensive BIM Integration: BIM360 has strong integration with Building Information
Modeling (BIM) software, allowing users to collaborate on BIM models in real‐time. Revit
work‐sharing via the cloud and directly linking models in Revit, AutoCAD, Civil3D and Navisworks
are just some of its key functionalities.

2. Model Viewing: BIM 360 provides robust support for viewing BIM models, including 2D and 3D
model viewing capabilities. In BIM 360, you can switch off, switch on, and adjust the visibility of
elements in any discipline as desired.

3. Fast graphic transition display: With Autodesk Construction Cloud, showing sections, plans and
overall 3D model navigation is way fast especially in transitions of graphics by way of changing
views, essential in meeting presentation.

4. Model Coordination: BIM 360 includes the BIM 360 Coordinate module, which is dedicated to
model coordination. It facilitates clash detection, issue tracking, and collaboration among
stakeholders using BIM models.

5. Clash Detection: BIM 360 Coordinate enables automated clash detection, helping identify and
resolve clashes in BIM models.

6. Collaboration: Autodesk Construction Cloud offers design collaboration tools that allow
architects, engineers, and contractors to collaborate on a single platform. Clashes are
automatically generated when models are updated in the shared space of Autodesk
Construction Cloud.

7. Field Management: Autodesk Construction Cloud offers field management tools that enable
construction teams to manage tasks, track issues, and report progress from the job site. Forms
and Asset tracking are some of its key functionalities that integrate documentation and BIM data
in a common data environment.

8. Insights and Analytics: Autodesk Construction Cloud provides data analytics and reporting tools
that allow users to gain insights into project performance and identify areas for improvement.
You can export information to PowerBI in case further customization is required for the
dashboards.

9. Full control of deliverables: Autodesk Construction Cloud provides power to suppress and/or
share the determined status of model to stake holders, site engineers and other contractors by
way of publishing model state by phase, milestones or by date, while on the other hand keeping
the real time progress of the live model.
Aconex CDE:

1. BIM Data Integration: Aconex CDE supports BIM data integration, allowing users to upload and
view BIM models within the platform.

2. Model Viewing: Users can view BIM models directly within the platform to access model
information.

3. Basic Coordination: While it supports basic model viewing, Aconex CDE may have limited
capabilities for model coordination and clash detection when compared to specialized BIM
coordination tools.

In summary, while both Aconex CDE and BIM 360 offer BIM integration capabilities, BIM 360 stands out
with its comprehensive suite of BIM‐related features, including advanced model coordination and clash
detection tools. It is a specialized platform tailored for construction and design professionals who require
extensive BIM collaboration capabilities. Aconex CDE, while supporting basic BIM data integration, BIM
360's advanced tools can be indispensable in ensuring efficient project management and collaboration.
