1. What was Suresh Jayakar’s project/idea?

Suresh Jayakar’s project/idea is a produce truck that sells fresh fruits and
vegetables. where the produce truck will pick up fresh produce in the morning and then
operate in the evening when most people have finished their work so they can cater to
more customers. He came up with this project in response to the neighborhood's scarcity
of grocery stores and farmer’s markets that sell fresh fruits and vegetables.

2. Do you think Jayakar’s idea is feasible here in the Philippines? Specifically, in

provinces? Why?

Yes, provinces are where most produce comes from, but that doesn't mean there
isn't a shortage of produce in provinces. In reality, provinces are actually where most
scarcity occurs because most parts of them are not really accessible or convenient to go
to because of long distances and a lack of transportation. Another thing is that provinces
with specific produce, such as those near the sea, where the majority of their products
are fish and seafood, may face a shortage of fresh vegetables and fruits.

3. With Suresh Jayakar’s idea, how did design thinking solve life’s problems?

Design thinking is a framework, a step-by-step process that helps us resolve

problems and innovate. With Suresh Jayakar’s idea, design thinking solve life’s
problems by understanding the problem that society is facing which is the lack of
markets that sells fresh produce, and then by ideating, creating, and developing a
feasible solution to that problem.
