Pest contamination control Policy

1. PURPOSE :
To establish a sanitization standard operating procedure to control flies, rodents & other
vermin to avoid contamination.
2. SCOPE :
Applicable on factory area, storage area, packaging area, loading area, container / truck and
wooden packaging material.
3. RESPONSIBILITY :
Production Manager, & outside Spray Agencies.
4. PROSIDURE :
4.1 House fly Control with Fly Spray, Fly trap, Fly Catchers .
4.2 Eliminate breading places. Avoid the Stagnant water
4.3 Using air curtains in premises.
4.4 Provide more spray facilities in factory, storage area, packaging area, container / truck
and wooden packaging material
4.5 Bait, traps, Mouse net used in entry point , packing area and container staging area and
surroundings.
4.6 Fumigation facilities provided in factory, storage area, packaging area, container / truck
and wooden packaging material.
4.7 Insect pest Control through insecticide & Pesticide Spray in factory area , storage area
and containers / trucks.
4.8 Out side agency (Indian Pest Control) conduct the pest control services and monitored by
the organization.
4.9 Agency annually performed the activities like Termite treatment, Fly & Prophylactic
treatment and Rodent control.
4.10 Only those insecticide & Pesticide used which is approved by Central Inspection Board
and food department.
4.11 Organization has establish the cleaning and maintenance schedule of the pest control
devices with the support of contractual body.
4.12 Instrument will washed & sanitized as per their schedule and or as per need. (Fly catcher
& Mouse Trap)
4.13 These pest control devices are cleaned and sanitized regularly to avoid the deposition of
any microbial contamination.
4.14 Killed and trapped pest are eco environmentally dispose of out side the factory premises.
4.15 Routine monthly inspection conducts at Cargo staging areas, and the immediate
surrounding areas to ensure these areas remain free of visible pest contamination.
4.16 Preventative measures such as the use of baits, traps, or other barriers are used as
necessary. Routine Removal of weeds or reduction of overgrown vegetation help in the
elimination of pest habitat within staging areas .
