Two years in Nicaragua

Wayne & Megan Tingle - LifeLink International missionaries

August 13, 2011 marked the second anniversary of our move to Nicaragua to work with LifeLink International and we re excited to celebrate many more years to come! In the past two years, we ve seen lives changed, buildings built, relationships blossom and innumerable examples of God s unending faithfulness. Thank you for being a part of this journey -- your prayers and nancial support make all of this possible! We ve been busy this summer and we wouldn t have it any other way! We hosted three of our own trips from the States and helped with several others. Having people come down and share their time and talents with us is such a blessing and we love doing it! One of our favorite things about groups is the energy, excitement and momentum that they bring with them. Construction projects get completed in a fraction of the time, our students get loved on to the 10th power and also get to see that LifeLink International is more than just our team -- it s all of us, joining together to aect change in their nation. As the school year winds down we re preparing for Level 3 Graduation, a few more teams and our annual trip to the States.

Vacations with a Purpose

PINELLAS COMMUNITY CHURCH
We were super honored to have Pinellas Community Church join us in August for their third LifeLink International Nicaragua trip -this one was a family trip with participants from 5-50+! The team got straight to work, painting the interior and exterior of Primary School Building 2. In the evenings, we ministered at several local churches that LifeLink is involved in, bringing the message of hope to the community. We also had time to play -- with our students and on our own. The team treated the students to a Carnival Day, complete with facepainting, crafts, sack races, egg tosses and more! nearby beach. The students, our family and congregations that we visited felt richly blessed at the end of an amazing week! And spent some downtime enjoying the Pacic coast of Nicaragua at a

CHURCH IN THE SON

Joining us at the end of August was a dynamic team from Church in the Son. The team helped Wayne and the construction crew nish out the sidewalk that links our new Primary School Building to the rest of the school facility. With lots of backbreaking shovel/ wheelbarrow work, the team poured themselves out to bless us with this jump ahead in construction. Practicing an easy and inspiring acronym, Always Stop And Pray (ASAP), we ministered to almost everyone we encountered -neighbors, students, their families, our teaching staff and two church congregations. Wayne and I were really inspired by this quick and easy way to stay connected to God in all things. Our students and staff were blessed by a week of fun crafts and

Our girls are getting so big and continue to impress us with their ability to adapt and live abroad. Ali also recently joined the Girl Scouts as part of an overseas troop - shes a Brownie! We have a new house! After almost two years in our rst house, weve moved 1/2 a block up the street. newer! Staying on the same street has been a great blessing and the house is larger and

A WORD FROM WAYNE

When I look back on all that weve accomplished, its hard to believe that weve only been missionaries for two years. The things that weve been a part of have been truly life-changing. Weve had the opportunity to build school buildings, host friends, educate kids, operate a feeding program and see childrens lives changed on a daily basis. Sometimes I think about all of the things we would have missed out on if we hadnt been obedient to the still, small voice of God. The voice that said, I have created you for a purpose. Let Me guide you in what it is. I wouldnt have been able to build two school buildings, six bathrooms and a rancho. I wouldnt have been able to tutor rst graders in math or learn a new language. Megan wouldnt have been able to start a school, hire employees, establish curriculum or operate an educational department. We wouldnt have been able to build our amazing team of supporters, you guys! We wouldnt have met all of our precious students whose lives have been forever changed by a group of people choosing to be obedient. Thank God we chose to be obedient!
