Greetings!
I would like to inform your good office that our school, San Agustin Elementary
School, will not conduct limited face-to-face classes for the remaining school days of S.Y.
2021-2022. This decision is based on the following reasons:
1. On the recently held meeting of municipal mayors last January 3, 2022, our municipal
mayor, Dante D. Torres, was one of those mayors who didn’t approved the transition of
learning delivery from modular and online to conventional face-to-face classes.
2. Upon consultation with the LGU representative, Chairman Dante O. Sarmiento did not
approve the conduct of limited face to face instruction in our school and instructed us to wait
for further decisions of the municipal IATF and emphasized that the health of the children
should be the utmost concern.
3. During an emergency meeting with parents held last January 3, 2022 parents
conscientiously decided that NO limited face to face instruction will be held for the
remaining school days because of their fear of the new Omicron variant. Furthermore, survey
from parents revealed that only 30% of the total population voted for the conduct of face to
face instruction. Thus, PTA President, Dezee Dimacali, together with PTA Officers has
written a letter that state that they does not approve face to face instruction.

4. Upon self-assessment of the school, the condition of our facilities are not capable of
conducting face-to-face classes as of this moment. More time should be devoted to ensure the
preparedness and readiness of the school to conduct face to face classes.
5. A gush of Covid-19 cases due to the new Omicron variant is evident on the locality.
The school remained to its commitment in providing quality education for all students
through modular, online and tv based mode of instruction. However, much to our desire to
conduct face to face classes the safety of both our parents and pupils are our top most
priority. When the situation gets better, we look forward to conduct face to face classes and
we will take this opportunity to prepare for the facilities that will accommodate such
endeavor.
