REGISTRATION

As it has been noted that the registration process has commenced, we have taken into note that students are failing to register due
to issues such as auto promotion, downpayment (financial clearance), G-7 etc. The interim ISRC and Campus Conveners are attending
a meeting in East London which will be deliberating under the registration issues. We urge students that are failing to register to not
panic as we are awaiting the resolutions of the meeting to pave a feasible way forward.

N.B: As for the acknowledgement of debt (AoD), it is for only students who are self-funded, not for those who are funded by NSFAS.

AUTO PROMOTION AND ISSUE OF MARKS

We urge all students that are facing an issue of auto-promotion or with issues of marks to compile a list per class specifying the issue,
and it should be sent to the Faculty Liaison with your details.

NB: Indicate the issue you are facing with auto-promotion under your details viz:PG, issue of marks (absent from exams, suppressed
and missing marks) and not promoted to next study level.

Special Exam

Applications for special exam are open and set to close on the 17th of January 2024, and are done manually. Before paying for the
special exam, please check with your lecturer that you do qualify, as there is no refund. In an event where the Department do not
have an HOD, then Exam office and Secretary of your Department.

RESIDENCE

Residences are not appearing to students who are having their qualification codes not aligned to new departments to new faculties
in new campus, systems. The matter is reported at Registrar's office, and they are attending it.

ACADEMIC EXCLUSIONS & APPEALS

Several students have been issued with letters, notifying them that the G7 rule has been applied and as a result, have been excluded
from continuing with their studies. These affected students have an opportunity however to appeal this decision. A link to download
the appeal form should have been provided in the same email. G7 Appeals are closing on 12 January 2024, we urge all students who
are affected by G-7 rule to apply for an appeal on time.

SPECIAL CASES

Unfunded students must wait for Special Cases as currently guidelines are being discussed to challenge categories to make them not
oppressive and exclusionary and harsh to students.
