 Abstract

The internship report in bold /spectrum contains four chapters in which I try to explain my
four month experience in my hosting company. The content of all chapter is broadly
explained and its constructed from the practical basis of the site work ended in all months.
In the opening chapter 1 give details to the company background including its mission,
vision, the project those runs through the company consultation. In this chapter 1 put all
record of history of my hosting company with its official address.so it gives detail of the
company in term of reader can easily know and access the company.
In the chapter 2 which explain my schedule of training organization, my duties,
responsibilities and my working timings.
In chapter 3 which broadly explain the working experience of my four month internship.
And it broadly e4xplain the introduction, background, location objectives of the project
with materials and machinery used along with picture.
In chapter 4 which explain the conclusion of my four month internship, and also explain
my references.

1.1 BACKGROUND OF TRAINING ORGANIZATION
A.A REHMAN BUILDERS (PRIVATE) LIMITED has come a long way to symbolize
commitment, distinction and professional excellence by meeting the stringent, demand and extra
ordinary work requirement of the client. A.A REHMAN BUILDERS (Pvt.) Limited has
undertaken prestigious project of high engineering national and international importance involving
civil works for the last 60 years.
The company has been working in infrastructure, housing, design and environmental areas other
than its strong standing industrial projects for Power, Aviation, Roads, Motorways, Buildings,
Water Supply.
By virtue of its efficient and quality performance, AA.REHMAN BUILDERS (Pvt.) Limited has
won the trust and confidence of its client. AA.REHMAN BUILDERS (Pvt.) Limited now enjoy
the reputation of being it trend setter in the ever expanding arena of housing and infrastructure in
the last 15 years has earned the name in real estate development of housing and infrastructure.

 1.4 Title and position of the site in charge
Site in charge or team leader is responsible for overseeing a group of employees with in a
professional setting. Their duties include relaying information between their team and
upper management, guiding their team through daily work activities or projects and
monitoring employee performance ensure maximum productivity.

demanding mechanized construction.

It is an era of scientific achievements where hearts and mind are control by the machines.

AA.Rehman Builders is a construction builder for last 60 years involving infrastructure,

infrastructure development, roads, high rise buildings and environmental sector.
AA.Rehman Builders is the first construction company in Pakistan to home attains to be
ISO 9001: 2008, 14001, 18001 certifications. The company has operational foreign office
at UAE, KSA. To explain the scope of work similarly the detail are follow:-

Schedule & Duties

2 SCHEDUEL AND DUTIES

2.1 Duties

I performed duty as a trainee engineer at site. I monitor the progress of the construction
site and ensure the use of steel according to the drawing on the site. I examined the whole
steel use on the site.

2.1.1 Responsibilities
• Inspecting construction site to identify the steel .

 • Supervising and instructing the construction team as well as sub-contractors.
• Evaluating the performance of construction employees.
• Recommending changes to construction operation or procedures to increase
efficiency.

2.2 Timing

Working hours of the company are 9am to 5pm.

2.2.1 Break

Lunch break was 12pm to 1:30pm

Sunday was off.

3.1 Introduction of project

3.1.1 Background
They are building a convocation hall inside the NFC University with a parking plaza, in
which a ceremony will be held after the completion of the student's degree. Chairs are being
made for it. And there are shops in the ground floor below.A law college and a nursing
college are also being built with the same building. About fifty crores are being spent on it.

3.1.2 Location

NFC University Multan Fertilizer Factory Khanewal Road. These three buildings are being
constructed along with the university's parking plaza, two of which have been completed.
3.1.3 Project objectives

The main objectives of this project are here under:

• To provide high-end housing projects.

• To provide best structural planning, design and civic facilities.
• To provide modern construction and unique features of international standards.

3.1.4 PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Convocation Hall is a building consists of a basement, ground floor, first floor, second floor, and
top floor. Which provides several facilities to the people. Which are follows:
• Shopes
• Stage
• Male prayer area.
• Working offices.

The machinery used in this project is following

3.3 CONCRETE

The concrete minimum cylinder crushing strength at 28-days as follows

• All columns 4500psi
• All lift walls 4500psi
• All external retaining walls 300psi
• Raft 300psi
• Beams 300psi
• Lean concrete (1:4:8) 300psi

Minimum protection of concrete over reinforcing steel bars as follows

• Raft =2inch
• Columns = 1.5inch
• Retaining walls = 2inch
• Beams =1.5inch
• Slabs =0.75inch

All reinforcing steel confirmed to ASTM A 615 Grade 60 steel with a minimum yield strength

of 410 MPa (60,000 psi)
All bar splice minimum 60 times the bar diameter.

Conclusion

4.1 CONCLUSION

During my internship program I have a lot of knowledge in term of including our practical skill.
The various type of orientation program , task and training that I have been undertaking during this
past four month on the site enhanced our knowledge in building construction. I am very glad to see
that what I learned in the university can be repeated in working world. I am able to apply my

theoretical knowledge of designing and construction work in real life situation.
This program played an important role to break the convectional thought that field work can be only
implemented by students who hold a degree or people who have an experience in building
construction. I am able to acquire a high level of confidence to deal with problems that are arising
in building construction.
During these past four months, I have been able to see the difference theoretical aspects
methodology. I have been fulfilling my curiosity in learning practical building construction well in
this internship program.
