(BE) TO BLAME FOR FAULT

Complete the second sentence so that it has a similar meaning to the first sentence
using the word given. Do not change the word given. You must use between two
and five words, including the word given.

Example:

This time it’s a negative sentence.

2. The customers BLAMED THE WAITER for the slow service.


The correct construction is: to blame somebody for (doing) something.

3. Mark said his sister WAS TO BLAME FOR breaking the glasses.

Remember to include ‘for’ in the sentence. Don’t lose marks for omitting
words!
