B. Course Objectives and Learning Outcomes


1. Course Description
This clinical course is a co- requisite to the theoretical part of adult and geriatric health
nursing 2. The course focuses on improving students’ skills in utilizing the nursing process
and critical thinking principles that enables students to provide the healthiest nursing care for
their patients. During the course, students will be exposed to a variety of experiences in the
medical, surgical, cardiology, neurology, orthopedic, oncology, kidney, and ear, nose, and
throat units.

2. Course MainObjective
It provides students with the opportunity to provide care for adult including elderly with an
alteration in functional health patterns in a variety of specialized medical surgical settings
utilizing the nursing process in a safe manner
