I am writing to update you on Mrs. Sally Fletcher, who had an endometrial cyst of 6cm which was Commented [P2]: Use full name with title for an

Mrs. Fletcher has had painful menstruation for 3 years. The pain did not respond to over-the-counter
painkillers and was localized to the left lower quadrant. A trans-vaginal ultrasound was performed which
revealed a cyst. Therefore, considering the diagnosis of endometriosis, laparoscopic resection was
performed today without any complications.

Mrs. Fletcher’s post-operative progress is satisfactory. She has been advised to keep her incisions clean
and dry. Sexual activity is prohibited for the next 2 weeks and showering for the next 24 hours.
Additionally, she is only allowed to drive 24-48 hours after her last dose of analgesics. Her nursery care
includes encouraging oral fluids and ambulation along with resuming her regular diet.

Mrs. Fletcher is due to be discharged to her home when she is able to resume her daily activities
independently. Your follow-up care in this regard would be highly appreciated. Should you have any Commented [P3]: Avoid being overpolite.
