Safety Instructions 0
Note
¹ the product-specific safety notes in these instructions,
¹ the general safety information in TD00-000.860.01...
and
¹ the safety information in accordance with ARTD part 2.
NOTE The following measurements are based on the DIN VDE 0751,
Part 1 standard.
As of October 1, 2010, the DIN VDE 0751 standard will be
replaced with the IEC 62353 standard. The differences
between the standards will be explained in "Performance of
tests according to IEC 62353," print number
SPR2-000.860.01.xx.xx. As of that date, the guidelines in this
document must be observed.
Observe the instructions in the safety rules for installation and repair (ARTD-002.731.17
...).
The protective conductor resistance must be measured after every intervention in the sys-
tem.
However, documentation of the measured values is required only during periodic safety
checks.
If parts / components that can decisively influence the ground wire resistance are replaced
(e.g. replacement of the mains cable, replacement of the ON/OFF assembly, replacement
of multi-core connection cables, which also make the ground wire connection between
parts of the system (e.g. monitor cable or C-arm cable)), or if ground wire connections have
been repaired, then the ground wire resistance must be measured. The values must be
documented and assessed in the ground wire resistance report.
The measurement must be performed in accordance with DIN VDE 0751, Part 1 (refer to
ARTD Part 2). The protective conductor resistance for all touchable conductive parts must
be measured during the normal operating state of the system.
Make sure that control cables or data cables between the components of the system are
not mistaken for protective conductor connections.
During the measurement, the power cable and additional connection cables that also cre-
ate the protective conductor connection between system parts (e.g. monitor cable between
the basic unit and monitor trolley) must be moved section by section to detect cable breaks.
The protective conductor resistance must not exceed 0.2 ohms.

disconnected from power, in compliance with DIN VDE 0751-1 2001-10, Fig. C2.

Additional information 0
These instructions apply only for retrofitting a video printer to a SIREMOBIL Compact / L.
Required Parts 0
• Service PC
• Service software (from the logbook or system binder)
• Cable for connecting service PC to host, e.g. 99 00 440
• Protective conductor test device, e.g. UNIMET 1100 safety tester 51 38 727
Required tools 0
Prerequisite for retrofitting a Sony UP 970 or Sony UP 990 video printer to a SIRE-
MOBIL Compact L with Memoskop CX (material no. 7142446) 0
The Memoskop CX requires the internal firmware version "46D" or higher. The retrofit is
not authorized for older firmware versions ("464" or "468" - the video signal is not properly
detected. The row structure in the screen is shifted).
The internal firmware of the Memoskop CX cannot be retrofitted higher in the field. If nec-
essary, the Memoskop CX (material no. 7142446) has to be replaced.
Since August 2006, the Memoskop CX has been delivered with internal firmware version
"46D". The inventory of the replacement part warehouse was updated.
• Pull out the power supply plug for the SIREMOBIL Compact / L.
With video printer available for 100V system voltage:
• Connect the power cable of the video printer to the T1 transformer, TI-34 and TI - 36 ter-
minals.
• Connect the protective conductor to the protective conductor terminal strip (ye/gn).
With video printer available for 120V system voltage:
• Connect the power cable of the video printer to the T1 transformer, TI-35 and TI - 36 ter-
minals.
• Connect the protective conductor to the protective conductor terminal strip (ye/gn).
With video printer available for 230V system voltage:
• Connect the power supply of the video printer to terminals X2.1 and X2.2.
• Connect the protective conductor to the protective conductor terminal strip (ye/gn).
Video cable
• Remove the 75 Ohm load resistor from the video output of the multiformat camera.
• Connect the video line and place towards the video printer compartment.
• Connect the video printer.. Make sure the video line is correctly connected (75 Ohm).
• Only for video printer Sony UP 970 or Sony UP 990:
Set the "mode" switch on the rear of the video printer to "analog".
Function Check
• Call up an x-ray image on Monitor A or monitor B.
• Trigger a photo on the operating panel of the basic unit and on the keyboard of the
visual device cart.
¹ The video printer prints a photo for each.
• Connect the power cable of the video printer to the T1 transformer, TI - 35 and TI - 36
terminals.
