Civil Security Group (CSG)


Description
 The Civil Security Group started as the Civil Security Force Command (CSFC) in
1980 and was tasked to exercise administrative and operational control in the
regulation of the firearms, explosives, and security agency industries.
The offices that were placed its command and control were:
o Firearms and Explosives Unit (FEU)
o Supervisory Unit for Security and Investigation Agency (SUSIA)
o Reserve Affairs Unit (RAU)
o Integrated Constabulary Home Defenses Force (ICHDF)
o Regional Civil Security Force Districts (RCSFDs).

Functions
 Civil Security Group (CSG). This group regulates business operations and
activities of all organized private detectives, watchmen, security guards/agencies
and company guard forces. It also supervises the licensing and registration of
firearms and explosives.

PNP Drug Enforcement Group


Description
 The PNP Drug Enforcement Group (PNP DEG) is one of the National
Operational Support Units of the Philippine National Police which is responsible
for the prevention and control of illegal drugs in support to the PDEA as
mandated
 To conduct intensified anti-illegal drug operations, ensure the successful
prosecution of drug cases and enhance public awareness on the harmful effects
of dangerous drugs in partnership with the community.
Functions

a) Conduct all-out and sustained operations against national and


international syndicates and personalities engaged in production,
importation and trafficking of illegal drugs, in support to
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA);
b) Investigate and assist in the prosecution of perpetrators in
violation of Republic Act No. 9165;
c) Maintain linkages with other law enforcement agencies,
foreign counterparts and strengthen community participation in
the fight against illegal drug menace;
d) Develop plans, programs, operating standards and
administrative measures to promote the objectives and functions
of the PNP-DEG
e) Develop and maintain relevant database; and
f) Perform other tasks as directed by the Chief, PNP.

Maritime Group (MG)


Description
 The Maritime Group is known by a number of nicknames including: MG; and
PNP-MG
 The MG is one of several elite units that form part of the PNP Special Operations
Forces
 1971, the concept of maritime police unit emanated during the days of the
Philippine Constabulary that led to the creation of a seaborne battalion known as
the called “Constabulary Off-Shore Anti-Crime Battalion (COSAC)” on
February 1971.
 The COSAC was tasked to suppress all criminal activities that affects the
environment.
Functions
This group is responsible to perform all police functions over Philippine Territorial
waters, lakes, and rivers along coastal areas to include ports and harbors and small
islands for the security and the sustainability development of the maritime environment.
The role of the Maritime Group includes a number of a specialist’s tasks, for
example:
 To train, equip, mobilize, organize, and manage resources for effective maritime
law enforcement and internal security operations;
 To enforce the laws, rules, regulations and ordinances relative to the protection
of lives, properties and environment;
 To arrest, investigate and assists in the prosecution of terrorists, smuggling, drug
traffickers and another criminal element; and
 To conduct search and rescue operations.
