We know that before in grade 9 essay was introduced to us, the parts and how to write them. So what is
essay?
What is essay?
An essay is a short piece of writing on a particular subject. It is a literary form that presents an argument
or a point of view, expresses a personal experience or interpretation, or analyzes a specific topic.
1 Narrative essay
- A narrative essay is a type of essay that tells a story or recounts a sequence of events.
2 Descriptive essay
-A descriptive essay is a type of essay in which the writer uses vivid language and detailed sensory
observations to create a picture or impression of a person, place, object, event, or experience. The goal of
a descriptive essay is to engage the reader's senses and imagination, allowing them to visualize and
experience the subject through the writer's word.
3 Expository essay
- An expository essay is a type of essay that aims to provide a clear and concise explanation or analysis of
a specific topic. The primary goal of Expository essay is to inform, clarify or explain,
4 Persuasive essay
- A persuasive essay is a type of academic writing in which the author attempts to convince the reader to
accept or agree with a particular point of view or take a specific course of action.
- So in the persuasive essay author attempts us to agree with them for example you need to drink 8 glass
of water to maintain a healthy lifestyle
5 Argumentative essay
- An argumentative essay is a type of essay in which the writer takes a stance on a particular issue and
presents arguments and evidence to support that position. The primary goal of an argumentative essay is
to persuade the reader to accept the writer's point of view or to influence them to take a specific action
