Aim: To create a story using Unit 3 contents.


Contents:
Vocabulary about saving environmental resources (p. 44) and prefixes RE-, MIS-, UNDER_ and OVER- (p.
50), Present Perfect with How long…?, For, Since (p. 46) and Yet, Already, Just and Still (p. 51), Simple Past
(p. 28). // All Unit 3 PPTs uploaded to the Appoderado.cl platform.
Instructions:
In pairs or in threes, you are going to create a story using the contents of unit 3. All the required elements
must be highlighted or in different colors and must have the same color per category. Example: All the
saving environmental resources must be blue, all the sentences in the simple past in green, etc.
On October ________, you will have to hand in the PRINTED script to your teacher. You don’t have the
chance to hand it in after class or send it by e-mail. It must be during your English class time.
PAY ATTENTION!! 🡪 Attendance and classwork are part of you mark. Also, your phones will be taken every
English class and will be given back to you at the end of it.

General description of the activity

SETTING:

There’s has been an awful pandemic which almost killed the whole world’s population but you managed to
survive. You’ve been wandering around looking for more survivors. Suddenly, you run into a school
classmate who you haven’t seen in 25 years. You start talking about how you have survived.

STORY MUST INCLUDE:

- 3 Saving environmental resources vocabulary (per person)

- 3 Prefixes with RE-, MIS-, OVER-, and UNDER- (per person)

- 2 PRESENT PERFECT questions using HOW LONG…? (per person)

- 1 PRESENT PERFECT sentence using FOR and 1 using SINCE. (per person)

- 4 PRESENT PERFECT sentences using JUST, ALREADY, STILL, and YET (per person)

- 3 SIMPLE PAST sentences (per person)

EXTRA INFORMATION:

● You MUSTN’T USE translators or AI to create the story. Trust the English you know. Remember that

your phone will be taken every class.

● The requirements can’t be repeated per person.

● Creativity is part of your mark, as well as punctuation, capitalization and coherence.
