TITLE CARD:
A woman scream and a ringing phone mixed on the soundtrack
while the title appears:
"SCREAM"
Then it fades to red like blood. We zoom on the title and we
CUT TO:
1 INT. BECKER'S HOUSE - LIVING ROOM - NIGHT 1
We finally see the phone ringing. Then a hand of a girl
reaches it. The CAMERA follows the arm of the hand --
revealing: CASEY BECKER (17), blonde with an innocent face.
CASEY
Hello?
A man voice from the other phone speaks:
VOICE (O.S.)
Hello.
Casey seems confused by the response.
CASEY
Yes...
VOICE (O.S.)
Who's this?
CASEY
Who're you trying to reach?
VOICE (O.S.)
What number is this?
CASEY
What number are you trying to reach?
VOICE (O.S.)
I don't know.
CASEY
I think you have the wrong number.
VOICE (O.S.)
Do I?
CASEY
It happens. Take it easy.
2. .
Casey finally hang up. She turns and moves into the living
room -- the CAMERA following -- going to the kitchen. Then,
the phone starts RINGING again. She seems confused by the
call.
She turns back and reaches the phone again:
CASEY
Hello?
The same voice of before speaks:
VOICE (O.S.)
I'm sorry, I guess I dialed the wrong
number.
CASEY
So, why'd did you dialed it again?
VOICE (O.S.)
To apologize.
CASEY
You're forgiven, bye now --
She is hanging up, when:
VOICE (O.S.)
Wait, wait, don't hang up.
CASEY
What...?
VOICE (O.S.)
I wanna talk to you for a second.
CASEY
They've got 900 numbers for that, see
ya.
Casey finally hangs up. She chuckles and goes away from the
living room.
CUT TO:
CASEY
Uh-huh.
VOICE (O.S.)
What's your favorite scary movie?
CASEY
Uhm, I don't know.
VOICE (O.S.)
You have to have a favorite. What
comes to mind.
She thinks two seconds.
CASEY
Uhm... Halloween!
She starts playing with a knife in the block.
CASEY (CONT'D)
You know the one with the guy in the
white mask, who walks around and
stalks baby-sitters.
She puts the knife away.
VOICE (O.S.)
(a little creepy)
Yeah...
CASEY
What's yours?
VOICE (O.S.)
Guess.
CASEY
(thinking)
Uhm... Nightmare On Elm Street!
She moves from the isle -- grabbing two videos near her and she
goes into the--
CASEY
Yeah, Freddy Krueger.
VOICE (O.S.)
Freddy! That's right. I liked that
movie, it was scary.
CASEY
(locks a door)
Yeah, the first one was, but the rest
sucked.
VOICE (O.S.)
So... you got a boyfriend?
He is absolutely flirting with her. Casey understands it. She
chuckles -- answers:
CASEY
Why...? You wanna ask me go out on a
date?
VOICE (O.S.)
Maybe.
She finally goes into the--
VOICE (O.S.)
You should never say "Who's there?",
don't you watch scary movies? It's a
death wish. You might as well just
come out here to investigate a
strange noise or something.
CASEY
Wha -- What do you mean?
VOICE (O.S.)
I wanna play a game.
CASEY
(whispering)
No.
VOICE (O.S.) CASEY
Then he dies, right now! Nooo! No!
VOICE (O.S.)
Which is it?
(beat; deeper)
Which is it?
CASEY
Wh -- What kind of game?
VOICE (O.S.)
Turn off the lights. You'll see what
kind of game.
VOICE (O.S.)
Here's how we play: I ask you a
question, if you get it right Steve
lives.
She steps back and cuts the light plug, leaving the TV screen
the only light.
CASEY
(begging)
Please, don't do this.
VOICE (O.S.)
Come on, it'll be fun.
CASEY
Please.
VOICE (O.S.) CASEY
It's an easy category: Please.
movie trivia. I'll
even give you a warm up CASEY
question. Don't do this I can't.
VOICE (O.S.)
Name the killer in Halloween.
CASEY
No.
VOICE (O.S.)
Come on, it's your favorite scary
movie, remember? He had a white, he
stalked the baby-sitters.
CASEY
I don't know.
VOICE (O.S.) CASEY
Come on, yes you do. No. Please. I can't --
What's his name? I can't think.
VOICE (O.S.)
Steve's counting on you.
Silence. Casey seems thinking even if she is petrified by the
terror. Seems she has no idea of the question the man gave
her. Then, she forces herself and answers:
CASEY
Michael... Michael Myers.
13. .
VOICE (O.S.)
Yes! Very good. Now, for the real
question.
CASEY
Nooooo!
VOICE (O.S.)
But you're doing so well. We can't
stop now.
CASEY
Please, stop. Leave us alone.
VOICE (O.S.)
Then, answer the question. Same
category.
CASEY
No, please, stop.
VOICE (O.S.)
Name the killer in Friday the 13th.
Casey stops crying. A God sent, she knows it! She gets up and
CASEY
Jason! Jason! Jason!
VOICE (O.S.)
I'm sorry, that's the wrong answer.
CASEY
No it's not! No, it's not, it was
Jason.
VOICE (O.S.)
Afraid, not. No way.
CASEY
Listen, it was Jason, I saw that
movie twenty-goddamn-times.
VOICE (O.S.)
Then you should know Jason's mother,
Mrs. Voorhes was the original killer.
Jason didn't show up until the
sequel. I'm afraid that was a wrong
answer.
CASEY
You tricked me.
14. .
VOICE (O.S.)
Lucky for you, there's a bonus round,
but poor Steve. I'm afraid. He's
out.
We hear a muffled SCREAM from Steven and then a knife cutting.
Casey screams. She turns and turns on the patio lights to see
what is happening:--
VOICE (O.S.)
Your call.
Casey instantly watch the the front door but: a CHAIR from the
patio breaks the glass door.
WOMAN (O.S.)
Did you water over here today?
Casey finally gets up. Crouched she slowly moves to the FRONT
PORCH.
MRS. BECKER
What is it?
BILLY
I'm just staying a sec.
SIDNEY
No, you can't b --
Somebody knocks. Sidney panics.
SIDNEY (CONT'D)
Oh, you better go. Go-go-go-go.
The room's door tries to open. It is blocked by the closet
door -- full open -- putted against.
MR. PRESCOTT
What's going on in there?
Sidney goes to the door.
MR. PRESCOTT
Are you okay?
SIDNEY
Can you knock?
MR. PRESCOTT
I heard screaming.
SIDNEY
No, you didn't.
MR. PRESCOTT
No?
Sidney moves the closet door and completely open the room's
door. We see Sidney's father: NEIL PRESCOTT (late 40's). He
looks inside the bedroom -- checking.
MR. PRESCOTT
Oh, well. I'm hitting the sack. My
flight leaves, first thing, in the
morning. Now, the expo runs all
weekend so I won't be back till
Sunday. There's cash on the table
and I'm staying a the --
SIDNEY
Hilton.
MR. PRESCOTT
...out the airport, so, call --
22. .
SIDNEY
Call if I need anything, yeah. Got
it --
MR. PRESCOTT
I coulda swore I heard you screaming.
Sidney kisses him on the cheek.
SIDNEY
Have a good trip, okay?
MR. PRESCOTT
Sleep tight, sweetie.
Sidney shuts the door. Quiet silence. Then... a red puppet
bear appears -- hold by Billy.
BILLY (O.S.)
Close call!
SIDNEY
Billy, uh...
(whispering)
What are you doing here?
He reappears.
BILLY
Well, it occurred to me that I've
never snuck through your bedroom
window.
SIDNEY
(pointing out)
Right and now, that's out of your
system.
BILLY
I was home, watching the television
and... The Exorcist was on and it got
me thinking of you.
SIDNEY
You did?
BILLY
Yeah. It was edited for TV. You
know, the good stuff was cut out and
got me thinking of us. How two years
ago we started off hot and heavy.
Nice, solid R rating on our way to an
NC-17 and how...
23. .
BILLY (CONT'D)
How things have changed and...
Lately, we're just sorta of edited
for television.
SIDNEY
Oh, so, you thought you would climb
my window and may have a little raw
footage?
Both laugh.
BILLY
No, no, I wouldn't dream to break
into your underwear rule. I just
thought maybe we could do a little on
the top of the clothes stuff.
SIDNEY
Okay.
BILLY
Then...?
SIDNEY
Yeah.
Billy kisses Sidney. They fall on the bed.
SIDNEY
Hey.
They continue kissing.
Billy puts a hand on Sidney's thigh. Then he tries to go under
her night dress, but she stops him. Removes his hand.
SIDNEY
Okay. Okay, okay. Time's up, stud
bucket.
BILLY
See what you do to me?
Sidney laughs.
SIDNEY
You know what my dad will do to you?
BILLY
Yeah. I'm going.
SIDNEY
Okay.
24. .
TATUM
Casey Becker and Steve Orth were
killed last night.
SIDNEY
What? No way.
TATUM
And we're not just talking killed,
we're talking splatter-movie killed,
ripped open from end to end.
SIDNEY
Casey Becker? She sits next to me in
English.
TATUM
Not anymore. It's so sad. Her mom
and dad found her hanging from a
tree, her inside on the outside.
SIDNEY
Oh my God. Do they know who did it?
DEWEY
That's Deputy Riley today, Sid.
SHERIFF BURKE
How is everything?
SIDNEY
Good.
SHERIFF BURKE
And your dad? How's he doing?
SIDNEY
We're fine, thanks.
PRINCIPAL HIMBRY
We're gonna keep this very brief,
Sidney. The police just wanna ask
you a few questions. You okay?
Himbry caress Sidney's face.
SIDNEY
Mm-hmm.
Sheriff looks really bad at Himbry. What did he do?
SHERIFF BURKE
Sidney, were you very close to Casey
Becker?
CUT TO:
TATUM
(to Sidney)
What kind of question did they ask
you?
SIDNEY
They asked me if I knew Casey.
TATUM
Yeah, they ask me that, too.
STU
(to Billy)
Hey, did they ask if you like the
hunt?
BILLY
Yeah, they did, they asked you?
TATUM
Hunt? Why would they ask you if you
like the hunt?
RANDY
'Cause their bodies were gutted.
BILLY
(ironically)
Thank you, Randy.
TATUM
They didn't ask me if I like the
hunt.
STU
'Cause there's no way a girl could
have kill 'em.
TATUM
That is so sexist. The killer could
easily be female. Basic Instinct?
RANDY
That was an ice pick. Not exactly
the same thing.
STU
Yeah, Casey and Steve were completely
hollowed out. The fact is that takes
a man to do something like that.
TATUM
Or a man's mentality.
30. .
SIDNEY
(thinking)
How do you gut someone?
Silence. Everybody turns to Sidney. Nobody is talking.
STU
You take a knife... and you slit 'em
from groin to sternum.
RANDY
Hey! It's called tact, you fuck-rag.
SIDNEY
Hey, Stu didn't you used to date
Casey?
STU
(laughing)
Yeah, for like two seconds.
RANDY
Before she dumped him for Steve.
TATUM
(surprised)
I thought you dumped her for me.
STU
I did it, he's full of shit.
RANDY
And are the police aware that you
dated the victim?
STU
Then, what are you saying? That I
killed her?
RANDY
That would certainly improve your
High School "Q".
TATUM
Stu was with me last night, okay?
STU
Yeah, I was.
RANDY
Was that before or after he sliced
and diced?
Sidney seems feeling this inappropriate.
31. .
TATUM
Fuck you nutcase. Where were you
last night?
RANDY
Working, thanks.
TATUM
Oh, at the video store? I thought
they fired you, sorry ass.
RANDY
Twice!
Randy smiles to her. A little strange.
STU
I didn't kill anybody.
BILLY
Nobody said you did.
STU
Thanks, buddy.
RANDY
Besides...
(imitating Stu)
It takes a man to do something like
that.
STU
I'm gonna gut your ass in a sec, kid.
RANDY
Tell me something.
(cartoon voice)
Did you really put her liver in the
mailbox? 'Cause I heard that they
found her liver in the mailbox next
to her spleen and her pancreas.
TATUM
Randy, you goon, fuck! I'm trying to
eat here. Uh?
STU
She's getting mad, Randy. Better
leave 'er alone.
In the meanwhile, Sidney -- exhausted -- takes her rucksack.
She kisses Billy. Then she gets up and goes away from them.
Stu starts laughing.
32. .
STU
"Leave 'er alone"!
Stu continues to laugh. Billy hits him.
STU
Ouch... Leave 'er. Liver. Liv --
It was a joke.
CUT TO:
SIDNEY (CONT'D)
It's just, you know, the police and
reporters and everything, it's like
déjà vu all over again.
TATUM (O.S.)
I'll be there by 7:00. I promise.
SIDNEY
Thanks, Tatum.
TATUM (O.S.)
Later.
Sidney -- already arrived upstairs -- hangs up. A dog barks in
distance. Sidney, worried, goes inside and locks the door.
GALE (CONT'D)
Maureen Prescott, wife and mother,
was found ripped and murdered not far
from this peaceful town square --
As the CAMERA zooms on the SCREEN, Sidney finally turns off the
TV. She gets up and goes away.
TATUM (O.S.)
I'm passing by the video store. I
was thinking Tom Cruise "All The
Right Moves". You know, if you pause
it just right, you can see his penis.
SIDNEY
Whatever, just -- hurry up, okay?
TATUM (O.S.)
Ta-ta, Sid.
Sidney hangs up. As she puts the phone right back the phone
starts RINGING again. Sidney hangs on.
SIDNEY
Tatum, just get in the car --
VOICE (O.S.)
Hello, Sidney.
Is HIM. Is the voice of GHOSTFACE.
SIDNEY
(confused)
Uh -- Hi. Who's this?
VOICE (O.S.)
You tell me.
SIDNEY
Well, I -- I've no idea.
VOICE (O.S.)
Scary night, isn't it? With a murder
and all it's like right out of a
horror movie or something.
Sidney laughs.
SIDNEY
Randy you gave yourself away. Are
you calling from work? 'Cause Tatum
is on her way over.
Sidney turns on a lamp.
VOICE (O.S.)
Do you like scary movies, Sidney?
SIDNEY
I like that thing you're doing with
your voice, Randy. It's sexy.
36. .
VOICE (O.S.)
What's your favorite scary movie?
SIDNEY
Oh, recall, you know I don't like
that shit.
VOICE (O.S.)
Why not? Too scary?
SIDNEY
No. No, it's just the point.
They're all the same: some stupid
killer stalking some big breasted
girl who can't act, is always running
up the stairs, when she should be
going to the front door, it's
insulting.
VOICE (O.S.)
Are you alone in the house?
SIDNEY
Randy, it's so unoriginal. I'm
disappointed in you.
VOICE (O.S.)
Maybe that's because, I'm not Randy.
SIDNEY
So, who are you?
VOICE (O.S.)
The question isn't "Who am I?" The
question is "Where am I?"
SIDNEY
S -- so, where are you?
She chuckles.
VOICE (O.S.)
Your front porch.
Sidney changes face: she is now worried. Runs to the--
VOICE (O.S.)
That's the original part.
SIDNEY
Oh, yeah?
Sidney looks outside.
SIDNEY
Well, I call your bluff.
She removes the chain, unlocks the door and exits.
SIDNEY
Shit!
She throws the phone. Eyes go on desktop.
Enter Name or Phone Number to call: 911
She finds out an another way. Ghostface continues bumping the
door.
Connected to 911
911 Operator: What is your emergency?
Sidney turns to door to see... he is GONE. Ghostface has gone.
SOMEBODY appears at the window. Sidney gasps. It's...
SIDNEY
Billy!
Sidney goes help Billy to enter.
BILLY
Door's locked. I heard screaming.
You all right?
SIDNEY
The killer's here. He's in the
house. No, he's in the house. He's
gonna... He's gonna kill us.
BILLY
He's gone. He's gone. It's all
right.
Sidney -- hugging him -- sobs above his shoulder. Seems all
right, when... a CELL PHONE falls from Billy's pocket. Sidney
looks at it.
BILLY
What?
Sidney steps back. Away from Billy.
BILLY
Sid, what?
She steps back, opens the doors and exits.
BILLY
Woah, woah, woah. Wait, wait, wait!
40. .
SHERIFF BURKE
Who is, then?
DEWEY
Billy Loomis.
BILLY
Sheriff. Sheriff, call these guys
off, I didn't do it. Sheriff, wait,
wait. Listen, my dad. Please, call
him. He'll tell you. Just call him,
call him.
Agents push Bill inside a Jeep.
BILLY (CONT'D)
(shouting)
Sidney! Sidney...
SHERIFF BURKE
How she doing?
DEWEY
Sid's tougher than she looks.
SHERIFF BURKE
You'd ave to be, after all the shit
she's been through.
BILLY (O.S.)
(in distance)
Siiiiiiiid!
Dewey and Burke arrive to an ambulance. Sidney is in there,
sitting on the edge. She has been medicated.
SHERIFF BURKE
Well, we're are seeing a lot of you,
today.
A red CAR approaches the driveway. It stops. From the driver
seat Tatum exits. She runs to them.
DEWEY (O.S.)
You gonna be able to the station and
answer a few question, Sid?
TATUM
Oh, shit. Sidney! Oh my God, I'm so
sorry I was late. Are you all right?
DEWEY
Tatum, you can't be here. There's an
official crime scene.
42. .
SIDNEY
It's okay.
TATUM
Her dad's out of town, alright?
She's staying with us, tonight.
DEWEY
Does Mom know?
TATUM
Yes, Doofus.
SHERIFF BURKE
(to Sidney)
Let's get you out of here.
NURSE
She'll be okay.
Sidney goes out the ambulance and goes away with Tatum.
TATUM
Come on, Sidney.
DEWEY
You won't believe this.
Dewey grabs the GHOSTFACE COSTUME from the hood of the car.
DEWEY
Creepy, uh?
A VAN now approaches the driveway. Gale Weathers exits.
GALE
I'll be damned.
KENNY (O.S.)
(coming out)
What?
GALE
Jesus, the camera, hurry!
KENNY
My name isn't Jesus.
A police Jeep passes. Gale looks inside.
GALE
Sidney, is that you in there?
She stops Tatum.
43. .
GALE
Excuse me, is that Sidney Prescott
they took away?
TATUM
Not talking to you.
GALE
What happened to her?
TATUM
None of your damn business.
GALE
I heard something about a costume, is
that true? Can you tell me anything?
Tatum gets in the car and goes away.
TATUM (O.S.)
Yeah, you're a real pain in the ass.
Leave Sid alone.
Kenny arrives. The camera ready.
KENNY
Where she gone?
GALE
Look, Kenny...
KENNY
Yeah?
GALE
I know that you're about 50-pounds
overweight, but when I say "hurry",
please interpret that as "Move your
fat-tub-of-lard-ass, now!"
DEWEY
He's not registered there. Could he
have stayed somewhere else?
SIDNEY
I don't know... I guess.
Sidney sniffles.
DEWEY
Don't worry, Sid. We'll find him.
AGENT
Dewey, they got the mask id.
DEWEY
(to Sidney)
I'll be right back.
Dewey gets up and goes away. Sidney looks at--
MR. LOOMIS
(surprised)
You went out last night?
BILLY
I was watching TV, I got bored, I
decided to go for a ride.
SHERIFF BURKE
You happen ride by Casey Becker's
house?
BILLY
No. No, I didn't. Sheriff, I didn't
kill anybody.
SHERIFF BURKE
We're gonna have to hold you, Son,
till we get those phone records.
BILLY
This is crazy. You know that?
(to Mr. Loomis)
I didn't do it.
Silence. Nobody talks. Mr. Loomis seems unsure about his son.
Billy turns to look at Sidney.
KENNY
Bitch goddess.
AGENT #2
Don't give us any trouble.
BILLY
Come on!
Tatum reappears. She runs to Sidney.
TATUM
Sid, I'm gonna get you out of here,
okay? You okay?
Dewey arrives. He gives something to the Sheriff.
DEWEY
They sell this costume in every five-
and-dime in the State.
The Ghostface costume in his COVER: "FATHER DEATH".
DEWEY (CONT'D)
There's no way to track the purchase.
SHERIFF BURKE
What about that cellular phone bill?
DEWEY
Well, we're pulling Loomis's account.
We won't know anything until the
morning.
TATUM
(annoyed)
Oh, come on.
DEWEY
(ignores her)
You think he did it?
SHERIFF BURKE
Twenty years ago, I would have say
"Not a chance". But these kids,
today... damned, if I know.
TATUM
Hey, Dewey, can we go, now?
DEWEY
Hold on a second.
TATUM
Goddamned it, Dewey.
48. .
DEWEY
(awkwardly)
What did Mom tell you? When I wear
this badge, you treat me like a man
of law.
TATUM
(louder)
I'm sorry, Deputy Dewey boy, but
we're ready to go. Now, okay?!
Some agents laugh. Tatum takes Sidney and goes to Dewey.
SHERIFF BURKE
Take 'em out of the back way, avoid
that circus.
Dewey -- angrily -- grabs Tatum.
DEWEY
C'mon. C'mon!
TATUM
Don't touch me.
DEWEY
(re: Burke)
He's my superior.
TATUM
Janitor's your superior.
Sidney, Tatum and Dewey exit. The door SHUTS.
SHERIFF BURKE
Let's get back to work!
TATUM
Who's there?
MRS. RILEY
For Sid.
SIDNEY
(hoping)
My dad?
MRS. RILEY
I don't think so.
TATUM
Take a message.
SIDNEY
No. I -- I'll get it.
Sidney gets up and exits.
MRS. RILEY
How she doing?
Tatum shrugs.
SIDNEY
Leave me alone!
Mrs. Riley runs to call --
VOICE (O.S.) MRS. RILEY
Looks like you fingered the Dewey! Dewey!
wrong guy. Again.
SIDNEY TATUM
Who are you? Hang up, Sid.
VOICE (O.S.)
Don't worry. You'll find out soon
enough, I promise.
The LINE GOES OFF. He hanged up. Dewey comes running
DEWEY
What?
TATUM
What!
Sidney and Tatum goes in the bedroom. Dewey hangs on:
DEWEY
Hello?
REPORTER (CONT'D)
Cotton Weary is currently waiting
appealing for the death sentence,
after the young Sidney testified
against him. She was the key witness
against the --
Dewey turns the TV off. He sits with Sidney and Tatum, already
had breakfast.
SIDNEY
It's never gonna stop, isn't it?
DEWEY
Billy was released. His cellular
bill was clean. He didn't make those
calls. We're checking every cellular
account in the country. Any calls
made to you, or Casey Becker, are
being cross reference. Is gonna take
some time but we'll find him.
TATUM
(to Sidney)
You okay?
GALE
What is your problem? You got what
you wanted: Cotton Weary is in jail.
They're gonna gas him. A book's not
gonna change that.
SIDNEY
Do you still think he's innocent?
GALE
Your testimony put him away. It
doesn't matter what I really think.
SIDNEY
During the trial you did all those
stories about me. You called me a
"liar".
GALE
I think you falsely the identify him.
Yes.
SIDNEY
Have you talk to Cotton?
GALE
Many times.
SIDNEY
And has his story changed?
GALE
Not one word. He admits having sex
with your mother, but that's all.
SIDNEY
He's... lying. She never would have
touch him. He ripped her and then...
He butchered her. Her blood was all
over his coat.
GALE
He was drunk that night. He left his
coat at your house, after your mother
seduced him.
SIDNEY
I saw him leaving wearing it.
GALE
No, you saw someone leave wearing
that coat.
Gale so sure. She knows what she is talking about.
56. .
GALE (CONT'D)
The same some who planted in Cotton's
car, framing him.
SIDNEY
No. Cotton murdered my mother.
GALE
You're not so sure anymore, are you?
Tatum reappears behind Sidney.
TATUM
Nice welt, sweetie. Let's go, Sid.
GALE
The killer's still on the loose,
isn't it?
TATUM
Come on, Sid.
GALE
Those murders are related.
SIDNEY
I'm sorry I mangled your face.
GALE
Wait. Sidney, don't go.
Gale calls Kenny. Tatum and Sidney go away.
TATUM
Just stop.
Kenny is ready with the camera.
GALE
(laughs)
Jesus Christ. An innocent man on
death row, a killer still on the
loose. Kenny, tell me I'm dreaming.
KENNY
Wanna go live?
GALE
No-no-no. It's too fast, we don't
have anything concrete.
57. .
KENNY
This is huge. You can't just sit on
it?
GALE
I know. That's why we need proof.
If I'm right, I can save a man's
life. Do you know what that can do
for my book's sales?
Gale slaps Kenny.
BILLY
Then, what is it?
SIDNEY
What... is it? Billy, I was attacked
and nearly filleted last night.
BILLY
I mean, between us. You haven't been
the same since...
Silence. Awkward silence.
BILLY (CONT'D)
Since your mother died.
SIDNEY
Is your brain leaking? My mom was
killed. I can't believe you're
bringing this up.
BILLY
It's been a year --
SIDNEY
(correcting him)
Tomorrow. One year, tomorrow.
BILLY
I know. I think it's time you got
over that. I mean... when my mom
left my dad, I accepted it. It's the
way it is. She's not coming back.
SIDNEY
Your parents split up. This is not
the same thing. Your mom left town.
She's not lying in a coffin
somewhere.
BILLY
Okay-okay-okay. I'm sorry, it's a
bad analogy. But it's just that... I
want my girlfriend back.
Sidney looks disgusted at Billy. Then she walks away.
BILLY
Sid.
SIDNEY
I'm sorry if my traumatized life is
inconvenient you and your perfect
existence.
60. .
BILLY
What? Wait. Nobody said that. Sid!
She runs away.
BILLY
(to himself)
Stupid.
BRUNETTE GIRL
You're evil.
BLONDE GIRL
Please, it's a common fact. Her
mother was a tramp.
BRUNETTE GIRL
Cut some slack. She watched her mom
getting butchered.
Sidney is listening. Weakens.
BLONDE GIRL
And fucked up her royally. Think
about it. Her mother's death leaves
her distraught and hostile, in a
cruel and inhuman world. She is
delusional. "Where is God?",
etcetera. Completely suicidal, one
day she snaps. She wants to go
herself, but she realizes team
suicide is out this year and homicide
is a much healthier therapeutic
expression.
BRUNETTE GIRL
Where did you get this shit?
BLONDE GIRL
Ricki Lake.
BRUNETTE GIRL
You are pathetic.
Blonde and brunette leave. The door SHUTS. Sidney finally
exits from the WC. She goes to the sink. Wipes her nose.
SIDNEY
Pathetic.
Sidney looks into her rucksack, when...
VOICE (O.S.)
(whispering)
Sidney...
Sidney turns to the stalls, recognizing the VOICE. Looks down.
SIDNEY'S POV: Nothing. Noises all around makes the atmosphere.
VOICE (O.S.)
(whispering)
Sidney.
63. .
SIDNEY
Someone's there?
SIDNEY'S POV: Looking down again. No feet, nor sign of people
around.
Sidney gets up, when... two feet goes down from a stall. There
are his shoes. Slowly, the black bands of the costume go down.
The door UNLOCKS.
Sidney stars running, but GHOSTFACE EXITS from the STALL. He
SCREAMS. Sidney slips down. He doesn't catch her. She gets
up and steps back. Ghostface follows her.
GALE
Productive. Is there a problem in
campus?
DEWEY
No. Everything's under control.
GALE
Well, of course. You are here.
DEWEY
You're not supposed to be here.
GALE
I know.
(laughs)
I should have been in New York,
having the Sharon Stone's stalkers,
but... who knew?
(laughs)
You look awfully under to be a police
officer.
DEWEY
I'm 25 years-old.
GALE
You know, in a demographic study, I
prove to be most popular amongst men
11-24. I guess I just missed you.
Of course, you don't look a day over
twelve. Accept in that upper, torso
area. Does the Force require you to
work out?
DEWEY
No, ma'am. 'Cause my boyish good
looks, muscle mass has increased my
acceptance as a seriously officer.
The microphone CLEARS. Amplifier on. PA starts, revealing:
PRINCIPAL HIMBRY (O.S.)
I need your attention, now, kids.
Due to the recent events that have
occurred, effected immediately, all
classes are suspended till further
notices.
Students in the campus CHEERS.
PRINCIPAL HIMBRY (O.S.) (CONT'D)
The Woodsboro Police Department has-
(MORE)
65. .
GALE
Looks like we got a serial killer on
our hands.
DEWEY
Serial killer's not really accurate.
Gotta knock off couple or more to get
that title.
GALE
Well, we can help, can we?
(laughs)
I mean, we certainly don't have any
leads. Have you located Sidney's
father yet?
DEWEY
No. Not yet.
GALE
Well, he's not a suspect, is he?
DEWEY
We haven't ruled him out as a
possibility. If you'll excuse me.
Dewey turns to go inside.
GALE
I'm sorry, am I keeping you?
DEWEY
If I may say so, Miss. Weathers...
you're much prettier in person.
He runs up the stairs.
GALE
So, you do watch the show.
DEWEY
I'm 25. I was 24 for an whole year.
66. .
GALE
Please, call me "Gale".
TATUM
What do you say, Sid? I mean, pathos
could have its perks.
STU
Totally protected. Yo, I am so buff.
I got you covered, girl.
SIDNEY
No...
TATUM
Come on, Sid. For me, it could be
fun.
SIDNEY
Okay, whatever.
STU
Yeah? Nice. Cool, you guys bring
food, all right?
Tatum and Sidney go away. Stu mimics guitar, happy.
TATUM (CONT'D)
I mean, with your dad's always out of
town for business. Maybe... Maybe
your mom was just a very unhappy
woman.
SIDNEY
If -- If they were having an affair,
then how come Cotton couldn't prove
it in court?
TATUM
Well... You can't prove a rumor.
That's why it's rumor.
SIDNEY
Right. Created by that little
tabloid twit Gale Weathers.
TATUM
It goes further back, Sid. There's
been talk about other men.
SIDNEY
And you believe it?
TATUM
Well... I mean, you can only hear
that Richard Gere gerbil story so
many times before, you have to start
believing it.
Sidney knew it. But, at the same, she can't understand. Tatum
doesn't know what to do.
TATUM (CONT'D)
Oh, I'm sorry.
SIDNEY
You know, if I was wrong about
Cotton, then, the killer's still out
there?
TATUM
Don't go there, Sid. You're start
sounding like some Wes Carpenter
flick or something. Don't freak
yourself out, okay? We've got a long
night ahead of us. Okay?
Sidney nods.
TATUM
Let's boogie.
70. .
GIRL
(walking away)
Okay, thanks.
RANDY
Oh, no. That's in poor taste.
STU
What?
Randy is referring to Billy. Standing by an isle, talking to
two girls.
RANDY
If you were the only suspect in a
senseless bloodbath, would you be
standing in the horror section?
STU
Well, it was just a misunderstanding.
He ain't do anything.
RANDY
You such a little lap dog. He's got
"killer" print all over his forehead.
STU
(mocking)
Okay, really?
(normal)
And why the cops let him go, smart
guy?
RANDY
'Cause, obviously, they don't watch
enough movies. It's a standard
horror movie stuff. Prom Night
revisited, man.
STU
Yeah? Why would he wanna kill his
own girlfriend?
RANDY
There's always some stupid bullshit
reason to kill your girlfriend.
That's the beauty of it all.
Simplicity. Besides, it gets too
complicated, you lose your target
audience.
STU
Well, what's his reason?
72. .
RANDY
Maybe, Sidney wouldn't have sex with
him.
STU
(laughs)
She saving herself for you?
RANDY
Maybe. Now, that Billy tried to
mutilate her, do you think Sidney
would go out for me?
Stu hardly laughs. He stops.
STU
(serious)
No. I don't. At all. No. Do you
know who I think it is? Yo, I think
it's her father. And why they can't
find her pops, man?
RANDY
Because, he's probably dead.
Stu looks disgusted.
RANDY (CONT'D)
His body will come pop up in the last
real somewhere. Eyes gouged out.
Fingers cut off. Teeth knocked off.
See, the police are always off track
with this shit. If they watch Prom
Night, they'd save time. There's a
formula to it. A very simple
formula! Everybody's a suspect!
Silence. Quietly, everybody turns to Randy, who now regrets
it. Stu jokes about him.
RANDY
Telling you, the dad's a red herring.
It's Billy.
Randy turns to see: BILLY. Standing right here. He scares
Randy. Stu appears behind Randy.
BILLY
How do we know you're not the killer?
Huh? Huh?!
RANDY
Hi, Billy.
73. .
BILLY
Maybe, your movie freak mind lost
reality, but you ever think of that?
RANDY
You're absolutely right. I'm the
first to admit it. If this were
scary movie, I'd be the prime
suspect.
BILLY
That's right.
STU
And what would be your motive?
RANDY
The Millennium. Motives are
incidental.
BILLY
Millennium? Mh, Millennium. I like
that. That's good. Millennium...
Good kid.
STU
Millennium. Good word, my man.
Billy walks away.
RANDY
(pointing Billy)
You're telling me that's not a
killer?
SIDNEY
God, look at this place, it's The
Town That Dreaded Sundown, huh?
DEWEY
Yeah, I saw that movie. It's about a
killer in Texas, huh?
SIDNEY
Hmm...
TATUM
Hey, Sid, just think. If they make a
movie about you, who's gonna play you?
SIDNEY
I shudder to think.
DEWEY
I see as a young Meg Ryan, myself.
SIDNEY
Thanks, Dewey. With my luck, they
would cast Tori Spelling.
Sidney and Tatum go away.
DEWEY
It's just gonna be a few minutes.
You girls don't go too far.
Dewey walks away, too.
TATUM
You have a few intimacy issues as
results from your mother's untimely
death. It's not big deal, Sid.
You'll thaw out.
SIDNEY
Yes, but he's been so patient with
me. You know, all though the sex
stuff, how many guys would put up
with a girlfriend who's sexually
anorexic?
TATUM
Billy and his penis don't deserve
you. Right?
We stop, as the walk away. The CAMERA turn to the FRIDGES to
see: GHOSTFACE's reflection. Chasing them.
GALE
Well, you just never know when or
where a story will break.
DEWEY
Not much of a story, here. Just a
bunch of kids cuttin' it loose.
GALE
And what are you doing here?
DEWEY
Just keeping an eye on things. I'm
gonna check the party out.
GALE
Do you mind if I join you?
DEWEY
Not at all.
GALE
Let me just get my coat.
Gale grabs her coat and the camera from Kenny.
GALE
All right.
DEWEY
Yeah, I'm fine.
(realizing)
Oh, yeah.
106 INT. MACHER'S HOUSE - LIVING ROOM - NIGHT (SAME TIME) 106
RANDY
(holding a video)
How many Evil Dead's?
A few people cheer.
RANDY
How many Hellraiser's?
More people cheer. Stu is hugging Tatum.
STU
Hellraiser, right here.
SIDNEY
The Fog, Terror Train, Prom Night.
79. .
SIDNEY (CONT'D)
How come Jame Lee Curtis is in all of
these movies?
RANDY
'Cause she is the Scream Queen.
STU RANDY
With a set of lungs like Yeah.
that, she should be.
TATUM
(to Sidney)
Tits, see?
The DOORBELL CHIMES. Stu gets up from the couch.
STU
I'll get it. Hey, Tate grab me
another beer, would ya? There's more
beer in the garage.
TATUM
What am I? The beer wench?
RANDY
(re: Jamie Lee Curtis)
...she was nominated -- She was
nominated for Terror Train.
Stu comes running.
STU
You're not gonna believe who's here.
It's that chick from "Top Story".
RANDY
Gale Weathers?
TATUM
Shit.
Tatum gets up, turns to see: Dewey and Gale. He stops a boy.
DEWEY
(grabbing the beer)
You're under age, Son. I'm kiddin'.
Have a good time. Watch the drivin'.
TATUM
Dewey. Dewey?
He goes to her.
80. .
TATUM
What is she doing here?
DEWEY
She is with me. I'm just checking
things out.
TATUM
So, you did. Now leave, and take
that media mouth with you.
GIRL
(to Gale)
I just think you're awesome.
GALE
Oh, thank you very much.
GIRL #2
I watch your show religiously.
GALE
That's great.
Dewey goes to Sidney.
DEWEY
Hey.
SIDNEY
Hey. Have you found my father?
DEWEY
I'm afraid, not.
Gale hides the camera under TV.
SIDNEY
Should I be worried?
DEWEY
Not yet.
Sidney turns and goes away.
TATUM
Okay, let's see. No, please, don't
kill me Mr. Ghostface. I wanna be in
the sequel.
Tatum is going to open the door- but he stops her, again.
TATUM
Cut, Casper. That's wrap.
Ghostface grabs her from the arm. She moves- the beers fall.
TATUM
Randy, what the hell are you doing?!
Ahhh.
He shows the KNIFE to her and wound her on the arm.
TATUM
Ahhh! Stop!
Tatum steps back- until she falls on a chair. Ghostface
follows her. She goes to the fridge and opens the freezer.
Ghostface grunts- hits the head against it and falls.
Tatum runs to the door. Ghostface gets up. So, Tatum...
TATUM
Fucker!
...throws a beer to him. Again. Is doing again, when
Ghostface goes to her but flips forward, on the steps. Tatum
notices a way. The DOGGIE DOOR. She goes to it.
BILLY
Subtlety, Stu. You should look it
out.
SIDNEY
No. It's okay. We do need to talk.
Sidney and Billy- hits Stu- go to the stairs. Randy arrives.
RANDY
What's Leatherface doin' here?
STU
Cute. He came to make up.
RANDY
There goes my chance with Sidney.
Damned it.
STU
As if. It's all I'm saying. As if.
RANDY
Oh, really? Alicia? "As if". I'm
gonna go check on them.
GALE
Placement is perfect. Tell me,
Kenneth, as a cheesy tabloid
journalist ever won the Pulitzer?
KENNY
First time for everything.
GALE
You damn right.
BILLY
Yeah. It does. It's like Jodie
Foster in The Silence of the Lambs
when she keeps having flashbacks of
her dead father.
SIDNEY
But, this is life. This isn't a
movie.
BILLY
Sure it is, Sid. It's all -- it's
all a movie. It's all... one great
big movie.
(caress her cheek)
You can't pick your genre.
She caress him. She goes nearer and they kiss. Then, he
brushes her hair, she hugs him- the head over his shoulder.
SIDNEY
Why can't I be in a Meg Ryan movie?
Or even in a good porno?
He stops.
BILLY
What?
SIDNEY
You heard me.
They go back. Looking each other.
BILLY
Are you sure?
SIDNEY
Yeah. I think so.
They kiss, again. Then, they go down on the bed.
BOY
The color of the blood's all wrong,
why do they do that? It's too red.
RANDY
Wait, here it comes another. Here
it... Here it...
On TV: The Shape stabs Bob. "Owe" and "Yes" comes in.
BOY #2
Predictable. I knew he was gonna
bite him.
BOY #3
How can you watch this shit over and
over?
STU
When do we see breasts? I wanna see
Jamie Lee's breasts. When do we see
Jamie Lee's breast?
RANDY
Breasts? Not until Trading Places,
in '83. Jamie Lee was always the
virgin in horror movie. She never
showed her, till she went legits.
GIRL
Could afford a decent pair.
RANDY
What did you s -- ? That's why she
always outsmarted the killer in the
big chase, at the end. Only virgins
can do that. Don't you know the
rules?
STU
What rules?
RANDY
You don't -- ?
(stops the movie)
Jesus Christ, you don't know the
rules?
STU
Have an aneurysm, why don't ya?
Randy goes near the TV, in front off all the guys.
88. .
RANDY
There are certain rules that one must
be abide in order to successfully
survive a horror movie. For instinct,
you can never have sex.
Guys booing- throwing popcorn to Randy.
RANDY
Big no-no! Big no-no!
STU
I'd be a dead man.
RANDY
Sex equal death, okay? Number two:
you can never drink or do drugs.
Everybody drinks and CHEERS.
RANDY
No. The sin factor. It's sin. It's
an extension of number one. And
number three: never-ever under any
circumstances say "I'll be right
back". 'Cause you won't be back.
STU
I'm gettin' an another beer, you want
one?
RANDY
Sure.
STU
I'll be right back!
Randy is speechless. Guys CHEER- laughing.
RANDY
You see? You push the laws and you
end up dead, okay? I'll see you in
the kitchen with a knife.
RANDY
Hello? Yeah.
(pause)
Sh -- N -- Ho --
Randy turns to the last guys.
RANDY (CONT'D)
Listen up. They found Principal
Himbry dead. He was gutted and hung
from the goalpost on the football
field.
GUY GUY #2
What are we waiting? Let's go there!
All them get up and run to the door.
RANDY
Hey. Hey. Where you guys goin'? We
were just gettin' in the good part.
DEWEY (CONT'D)
"Dewey"'s just something I got stuck
with, a long time ago.
GALE
Well, I like it. It's sexy.
DEWEY
Sexy?
GALE
(chuckling)
Mm-hmm.
DEWEY
Uh, it's just this town way. I'm not
takin' me serious.
GALE
What about Gale Weathers? Sounds
like I'm a meteorologist or
something. People treat me like I'm
an Anti-Christ of television
journalism.
DEWEY
I don't think you that bad.
GALE DEWEY
No? No.
GALE
I think that's 'cause you just kinda
like me.
The cars are nearer...
DEWEY
They sure comin' too faster. Slow
down! Freeze!
...and nearer.
DEWEY (CONT'D)
Jump!
Dewey and Gale jumps on the ground near there. The cars almost
did invest them. They fall on the grass- Dewey over Gale.
DEWEY GALE
I'm sorry. Are you okay? Yeah.
Silence. They look each other, until- Gale moves and finally
kisses Dewey. He returns. Then, he moves- avoiding it.
93. .
DEWEY
I'm sorry. I'm on duty.
She laughs. He laughs.
GALE
Is that what are you lookin' for?
DEWEY
My whole life.
She turns his look to something. Dewey panics. Gets up.
DEWEY
Damn.
GALE
What? What is it?
DEWEY
This is Neil Prescott's car.
The CAMERA pulls through the tree until we see a car.
GALE
Sidney's father?
DEWEY
Yeah. Jesus, what's he doin' here?
We gotta get back.
SIDNEY (CONT'D)
When you're arrested you're allowed
one phone call. So, I was just
curious who'd you call?
BILLY
I called my dad.
SIDNEY
No, uhm -- Sheriff Burke called your
dad, I saw him.
BILLY
Yeah. When I called, I didn't get an
answer.
Silence. Sidney thinks. Then, snorts. Billy notices.
BILLY
You don't think it was me, do you?
SIDNEY
No. No, I was just thinking if it
were you it'd be very cleaver way to
throw me out of track. You know,
using your one phone call to call me,
so I wouldn't think it was you.
BILLY
Really?
She laughs. Billy looks creepy at her and- then, goes near
her.
BILLY
What do I have to do prove you that
I'm not a killer.
SIDNEY
(a little worried)
Oh my God.
BILLY
Huh?!
Something appears behind Billy. Sidney notices it- gets up and
steps up.
SIDNEY
Oh my God.
BILLY
Sidney --
95. .
SIDNEY
Billy, watch-out!
He turns turns to see: GHOSTFACE! Who STABS him in the chest.
Again. Sidney gasps. Another stabbing. And, one last.
Billy- all covered by blood, turns to Sidney- sobbing.
BILLY
(whimpering)
Sidney...
Then, he falls on the bed. Sidney is crying- then, looks up to
Ghostface, wiping the blood out of the blade of the knife.
He tries to go her- but she's faster. Jumps on bed and runs
out.
KENNY'S BODY slips down the windshield from the roof of the
van. Gale SCREAMS. She panics. What the fuck? She goes
forward- accelerating.
GALE
Oh God, Kenny. I'm sorry but, get
off my fucking windshield.
As Gale curves- Kenny falls over the fences.
She looks at it- then goes down the road. Until: Sidney
appears in the middle of the street. She's blood everywhere.
SIDNEY
Stop!
Gale SCREAMS. She goes off the road- can't stopping. The van
goes on down the ground. Gale doesn't have control of. Then,
the van hits to a tree. CRASHED.
RANDY
Don't shoot. It's me! I found
Tatum, she's dead. I think Stu --
STU
Don't listen to him, Sidney!
SIDNEY
Stay back!
STU RANDY
He killed Billy! He killed Stu did it. No, you did it!
Tatum! You killed my Tatum! No, I didn't, you lie!
Sidney steps back. She points the gun to Randy. Then, Stu.
Then, Randy. So unsure. Both them go nearer Sidney.
STU RANDY
Sidney, baby, please give No, I didn't! I didn't, Sid!
me that gun! Give me that He did it! He did it, Sidney!
gun! Christ, man! I didn't do anything! Please!
SIDNEY
Fuck you both!
With that Sidney steps back in the house. Stu and Randy stay
there- speechless. She goes inside- they run to her, but --
SIDNEY
I thought you were dead.
BILLY
No, I'm like a stuck pig, but I'm all
right. Help me.
She helps Billy to get up, he goes to the door- she stops him.
BILLY (CONT'D)
I'm okay. We've gotta get help.
SIDNEY
No. He's out there.
BILLY
No, give me the gun. Give me the
gun, it's okay. It's okay.
She gives the gun. Billy unlocks the door- opens it and...
Randy enters. Billy let him in and then shuts the door.
RANDY
Please, help me. Stu's flipped out.
He's gone mad!
BILLY
(turning creepy)
We all go a little mad sometimes.
RANDY
Oh, fuck!
Sidney tries to stop Billy, but- he SHOOTS at Randy, who falls
backward. Billy creepy laughs. Sidney goes to Randy.
BILLY
Anthony Perkins, Psycho.
(licks "blood")
Corn sirup. Same stuff they use for
pig's blood in Carrie.
What the fuck? Sidney, can't believing- steps back, until she
hits against... STU. Standing on the kitchen door. Petrified.
SIDNEY
Stu. Help me, please.
Stu changes face, grabs a VOICE CHANGER and speak as Ghostface:
STU
Surprise, Sidney.
Wait, what? Sidney can't quiet believe: two killers?
104. .
SIDNEY
No!
BILLY (CONT'D)
You wouldn't believe how easy he was
to frame.
STU
Watch a few movies, take a few notes.
(chuckling)
It was fun.
SIDNEY
Nooo!
She tries to move, but Billy catches her.
SIDNEY
Why? Why did you kill my mother?
BILLY
Why? WHY?! Did you hear that, Stu?
I think she wants a motive. I don't
really believe in motives, Sid. I
mean, did Norman Bates have a motive?
STU
No.
BILLY
Did they really decide why Hannibal
Lecter like to eat people? Don't
think so. See, it's a lot scarier
when there's no motive, Sid. We did
your mom a favor, Sid. That woman
was a slut-bag whore who flashed her
shit all over town like she was
Sharon Stone or something.
STU
(playing with the gun)
Yeah, we put out of her misery.
'Cause, let's face it, Sidney, your
mother was no Sharon Stone. Hmm?
Sidney looks away- disgusted.
BILLY
Is that motive enough for you? Well,
how about this? Your slut mother was
fucking my father and she's the
reason why my mom moved out and
abandoned me.
A moment of silence makes Sidney looks speechless and shocked
at Billy. Stu's too.
106. .
BILLY (CONT'D)
How's that for a motive? Maternal
abandonment causes serious deviant
behaviors. It certainly fucked you
up. It made you have sex with a
psychopath.
STU
That's right. You gave it up. Now,
you're no longer virgin.
Stu puts the hand over his mouth- scandal! He laughs. Billy
pulls Sidney against him, forward- brushes her hair.
STU (CONT'D)
I said virgin, hoops! Now you're
gonna die. Those are the rules.
BILLY
Let's pretend it's all a scary movie,
Sid. How you think it's gonna end?
Billy points at the basement door. Stu recalls something.
STU
Oh! Oh! This is the greatest part!
You're gonna love it. We got a
surprise for you, Sidney.
Stu puts the SAFETY ON on the gun, and puts it away.
STU (CONT'D)
Yeah, you're gonna love this one.
It's a scream, baby! Hold on a sec.
I'll be right back.
Stu steps back- opens the door and disappears in the basement.
BILLY
You know what time is it, Sid? Is
after midnight: your mother's
anniversary. Congratulations. We
killed her exactly one year ago,
today.
Stu exits from the basement with Mr. Prescott- tied, gagged.
STU
Attention! Oh, what do we have
behind door number three, Sidney?
SIDNEY
(tries go to him)
Daddy!
107. .
BILLY
Woah! Hold on, that's enough.
STU
(on voice changer)
Guess we won't be needing this
anymore, huh?
(holding a cell)
And, oh, look at this. Ring-ring.
Won't need this.
Stu puts the voice changer and the cell into Prescott's pocket.
BILLY
Got the ending figured out yet, Sid?
STU
Come on, Sidney. You think about it,
huh? Your daddy's the chief suspect.
We cloned his cellular. The evidence
is all right there, baby.
BILLY
What if your father snapped? Your
mother's anniversary send him off and
he went on a murder spree, killing
everybody.
STU
Except Billy and me. We were left
for dead.
BILLY
Then, he kills you and shoots himself
in the head. Perfect ending.
STU
I thought of that.
BILLY
Watch this.
Billy pulls Sidney back in the corner- goes to Stu.
BILLY
You ready?
STU
Yeah. Yeah! I'm ready, baby! Yeah,
babe, get up. Hit it.
Billy STABS Stu in the stomach. What? Sidney SCREAMS.
108. .
STU
Good one, man. Jesus. Oh, shit. My
turn.
Stu waits for the knife, Billy gives him.
BILLY
Don't forget: stay on the side, don't
go too deep.
STU
Okay, I'll remember.
This time- Stu STABS Billy, who SCREAMS and breaks a dish.
BILLY
Fuck! Fuck! Goddamn it, Stu!
STU
Sorry, Billy. I guess I got a little
too zealous, huh?
BILLY
Give me the knife.
STU
No.
BILLY
Give me the knife. Now!
Stu gives the knife to Billy.
STU
You see, Sid? Everybody dies but us.
Everybody dies but us. 'Cause we get
to carry on and plan the sequel.
'Cause, let's face it, baby. These
days, ya gotta have the sequel!
On SIDNEY: Stu SCREAMS. Billy's stabbed him. Again.
SIDNEY
You sick fucks. You've seen one too
many movies.
BILLY
No, Sid. Don't you blame the movies.
Movies don't create psychos. Movies
makes psychos more creative!
Billy STABS Stu again, who SCREAMS and... start crying?
109. .
STU
Stop it, Billy. Would ya? All right.
I can't take it, anymore. I feel a
little woozy, there!
BILLY
All right. All right. You get the
gun and I'll untie Pops, okay? Now!
STU
Okay.
Stu moves to the desk, but... there's NOTHING.
STU
Houston, we -- we have a problem,
here.
BILLY
What?
STU
The gun, man! The gun. I put it
right there, and it's not there.
BILLY
Where the fuck is it?!
WOMAN (O.S.)
Right here, asshole!
The CAMERA pulls back to reveal --
STU
My arm!
Sidney runs but Stu reaches and jumps over her. They both fall
on the couch and then on the floor near the TV. Stu goes over
Sidney. He takes her arms down- trying immobilize her.
STU
I always had a thing for ya, Sid!
She bites his hand. He let her. She grabs a jar and BREAKS it
onto Stu's head, who falls. Sidney gets up and goes to TV.
STU
Bitch.
SIDNEY
In your dreams!
She pulls the TV over the edge- Stu SCREAMS but it's too late.
The TV falls on Stu's head. SPARKS! The TV STRIKE to DEATH
Stu, who tries to move. The sparks end. Stu's DEAD.
Sidney looks at her job and then goes away.
