NEWS LETTER FOR 200L NURSING STUDENTS FOR 2023/2024 ACADEMIC SESSION

Merriments of the festive season

We thank God for yet another opportunity of seeing the new year, 2024. It is only because of
him that we have come this far. We ascribe all gratitude unto him.
To the present 200L nursing students, we celebrate your successful completion of your first year
and we wish you all the best as we welcome you all into your second year.

For the smooth running of the orlu campus of the Imo state University, Owerri and the efficient
and effective learning of our nursing students, we urge you to pay the fees listed below:
School fees – ₦32,000
Departmental Dues – ₦30,000
Uniforms(2 pairs and scrub) – ₦57,000
Development fee – ₦67,000
Textbooks(for first and second semester) – ₦400,000
Practical fees - ₦100,000

Also, nursing is a very strict profession. You must begin now to inculcate discipline, moderation
and professionalism into yourselves. You must have the following as you return on the 3rd of
January as they will be checked. Failure to have these will attract serious penalties

 Stethoscope
 Sphygmomanometer
  Clinical thermometer
 Breast watch
 Cotton wool
 A functional wrist watch for time keeping

PLEASE ADHERE!!!

 Wear only full stop earrings or no earrings at all. No form of stylish earrings will be
tolerated.
 If you have no uniform yet, please be on a neat whit shirt, a decent black skirt and a
black shoe. If you also have gotten a uniform, cease from putting on the black and white
attire. Failure to put on the appropriate wear or uniform under a given condition will
attract serious punishment.
 Keep your nails short and neat at all times. No form of artificial nails or nail painting is
acceptable.
 The student shall not put on any jewelry such as a necklace, ring or bangle.
 Appear neat and smart at all times.
 For the ladies, avoid making hairs past the shoulder. For men, keep and maintain a neat
low cut and very low beards or no beards at all.
 No fancy wrist watches and shoes, tight and short uniforms.

Please comply and make payments before the end of January to make it easier for us. The
earlier the better. Late payment attracts penalty and failure to pay it till exam period disqualifies
the student from writing any exam until the payment is made.
