Rationale The University of Perpetual Help System DALTA - Graduate School of

Business recognizes the importance of promoting comprehensive
business knowledge to its students, delivering not only the fundamental
principles of entrepreneurship, but also practicing social responsibility. In
line with this commitment, the class of Dr. Rubi Ana Saludario in
collaboration with the class of Dr. Rene Boy Bacay, under the course
"Perpetualite Perspective in Business," has organized an on-site
seminar entitled "How to Start a Business" as a course requirement.

Choosing the New Bilibid Prison as the community beneficiary for

this seminar holds significant relevance. The community serves as a
unique setting that allows students to gain practical insights into the
challenges and opportunities associated with entrepreneurship within
constrained environments. This choice aligns with the university's
mission to promote holistic education by exposing students to diverse
perspectives and real-world scenarios.

The focus of the seminar on starting a business with Corporate

Social Responsibility (CSR) practices is deliberate and strategic. In the
contemporary business landscape, CSR has become an integral
component of sustainable and ethical entrepreneurship. The seminar
aims to enlighten participants about the importance of CSR,
emphasizing its role in fostering positive impact, ensuring long-term
business success, and more.

The session will also touch on the reasons why CSR should be an
inherent part of any business venture. Thus, the attendees will gain
valuable insights into how CSR initiatives contribute to community
development, employee engagement, and environmental sustainability,
thereby making a compelling case for their incorporation into business
strategies.
