QUALIFIED PIRACY:
1. Whenever they have seized a vessel by boarding or
firing upon the same;

without means of saving themselves; or
3. Whenever the crime is accompanied by murder,
homicide, physical injuries or rape.

For the purposes of this article, women who, for money or profit,
habitually indulge in sexual intercourse or lascivious conduct are
deemed to be prostitutes.
DIRECT BRIBERY — Any public officer commits direct bribery:
A. By agreeing to perform or by performing, in consideration of
any offer, promise, gift or present- an act constituting a crime,
in connection with the performance of his official duties.
B. By accepting gift in consideration of the execution of an act
which does not constitute a crime, in connection with the
performance of his official duty.
C. By agreeing to refrain, or by refraining, from doing something
which it is his official duty to do, in consideration of gift or
promise.
INDIRECT BRIBERY — Elements:
A. The offender is a public officer.
B. That he accepts gifts.
C. That the said gifts are offered to him by reason of his office.
INFANTICIDE — Committed by any person who shall kill any child less
than three days of age.
QUALIFIED THEFT
- If committed by a domestic servant
- With grave abuse of confidence
- Property stolen is motor vehicle, mail matter or large cattle or
consists of coconuts taken from the premises of the plantation or
fish taken from a fishpond or fishery,
- Property is taken on the occasion of fire, earthquake, typhoon,
volcanic eruption, or any other calamity, vehicular accident or civil
disturbance
SWINDLING (ESTAFA). — Defrauding another by any of the following
means:
1. With unfaithfulness or abuse of confidence, namely:
(a) By altering the substance, quantity, or quality or anything of
value which the offender shall deliver by virtue of an
obligation to do so, even though such obligation be based on
an immoral or illegal consideration.
(b) By misappropriating or converting, to the prejudice of another,
money, goods, or any other personal property received by
the offender in trust or on commission, or for
administration, or under any other obligation involving the
duty to make delivery of or to return the same, even though
such obligation be totally or partially guaranteed by a bond;
or by denying having received such money, goods, or other
property.
(c) By taking undue advantage of the signature of the offended
party in blank, and by writing any document above such
signature in blank, to the prejudice of the offended party or
of any third person.
Any person who, for profit or gain, shall interpret dreams, make
forecasts, tell fortunes, or take advantage of the credulity of the
public in any other similar manner, shall suffer the penalty of
arresto mayor or a fine not exceeding 200 pesos.
MALICIOUS MISCHIEF - the willful damaging of another’s property for
the sake of causing damage due to hate, revenge or other
evil motive.
SLANDER BY DEED — any person who shall perform any act not
included and punished in this title, which shall cast dishonor,
discredit or contempt upon another person.
