To the facilitator
In this lesson, you are to guide and teach the child about the concept
of family. It is the basic unit of society that is compose of a father, mother,
brother, sister and a baby.
As a facilitator, you are to teach and explain to the child that each
one of us has our own unique family. It serves as the first school where we
learn about ones culture and identity.
Follow the steps below:

2. Guided Practice

Say:

 Look at around you, Tell something about your family?


 Can you name your family member?
 What do you usually do with your family?
 How many are you in your family?
 Do you love your family? Why?

Let the child say :

I have a family.
I have a father, mother, brother, sister and a baby brother or a baby sister.
I love my family.

3. Independent Practice

Guide the child in doing the activity.


Activity: I love my Family Poster

Materials: Bond Papers, crayons, cut out paper, scissors, glue

Procedure:
1. Ask the child to complete the sentence “I Love my family because ____________”.
2. Assist his or her in tracing the sentence on the bond paper.
3. After tracing, encourage the child to draw his or her family members on the bond paper and
decorate his or her work using crayons or colored paper.
4. Assist the child in writing his or her name and the names of his or her family members.

Procedure:

 Let the child draw a big balloon shape outline in a paper.


 Assist the child in cutting the drawing of balloon.
 Inside the balloon shape outline, ask the child to draw his or her family showing one special
occasion that they celebrate together.
 Ask the child to paste the balloon on a color paper.

Guide the child in doing the activity


Activity: Popsicle Stick Family
Materials: popsicle sticks or any sticks glue, drinking straw,cut out round
pieces of paper to serve as ‘heads’ colored paper, scissors, colored
markers, yarn in different colors.

Procedures:
a. Ask the child to get popsicle sticks to represent each of their family
members including those who do not live with them.
b. Let the child draw the face of each family member on round pieces
of paper and glue them on the popsicle sticks/drinking straw.
c. Have them glue on yarn as hair, as appropriate.
d. After making the head, instruct the learners to work on the ‘clothes’
using colored paper and glue them on the popsicle sticks.

Manera:
a. Manda con el bata saca popsicle stick para representa con el maga miembro de
familia incluido ya aquel hende ta queda junto canila.
b. Manda dibuja el cara de cada miembro del familia na papel redondo y hace pilit na
popsicle stick.
c. Hace pilit hilo de colores para servi como pelo.
d. Despues hace el cabeza, manda con el bata hace camisa de papel de colores y hace
pilit na popsicle stick.
