I. Learning Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:
a. Define and explain cooking, home cooking, and commercial cooking
b. Differentiate home cooking from commercial cooking
c. Enumerate opportunities for a business in commercial cooking
d. Perform at least one method of cooking
e. Appreciate cookery by doing it at home

II. Subject Matter:


A. Topic: Entrepreneurship in Commercial Cooking (Opportunities in Commercial Cooking)
B. Reference: TLE Commercial cooking book (C and E Publishing Inc.)
C. Materials: Book, Visual aids, Cooking tools, Ingredients, and other cooking equipment
D. Values Integration: Appreciation
E. Skills: cooking skills

III. Procedures:

A. Preparatory Activities
1. Prayer
2. Greetings
3. Physical Arrangement
4. Checking of attendance (through class monitor)
5. Recapitulation
6. Motivation (The teacher will present a video of people who have a successful life and people who
go in the different places because of their cooking skills. After presenting the video, the teacher will
ask student’s realization.)

B. Developmental Activities
1. Presentation of the Lesson
The teacher will introduce the topic after stating the learning objectives.
2. Development of the Lesson
- The teacher will define and explain what is cooking, home cooking and commercial cooking.
- The teacher will explain the difference between home cooking and commercial cooking
- The teacher will enumerate and explain the different opportunities in commercial cooking.

C. Generalization
- The teacher will let the students answer why cooking is important and how it affects in their
daily lives.
- The teacher will ask the students what opportunities they can find in commercial cooking and
how they use these opportunities.

D. Application
- The teacher will group the students into 5 and let every group select at least one of the
cooking methods and perform the cooking method they have chosen.

let the students to guess the name of the entrepreneur. After showing the pictures, the
teacher will tell a story to the students about the entrepreneurs’ successful business
career and ask them why these entrepreneurs became successful.)
