CHAPTER III

RESEARCH DESIGN

This study is quantitative in kind. The aim of this study is to gather data from number of

individuals which would then be statistically analyzed

A descriptive-correlational method was utilized in this study. Descriptive research describes the

current condition in which the researcher has no control over the factors in this explanation is

presented about the methods or strategies used in conducting the research. The method of data

collection required to make the conducted study valid is presented in the following sections. Also

presented in this part is the careful selection of respondents, who played an important part in

confirming the research done.

SAMPLE AND SAMPLING TECHNIQUE

Purposive sampling is utilized in this study. Purposive sampling is a term that refers to a

variety of non-probability sampling approaches. Purposive sampling, also known as judgmental,

selective, or subjective sampling, relies on the researcher's judgment when picking the units to be

examined.

The respondents of this study are 65 E-wallet users from Kapt. Pepe, Cabanatuan City,

Nueva Ecija.
RESEARCH INSTRUMENT

An online survey instrument will be developed and used to gather the issue and benefits

of using E-wallet encountered by E-wallet users such as sari-sari store owners

A questionnaire is will be divided to 2 parts Part one is the respondents’ profile that

includes age, gender, educational background and marital status.Part two is the respondents

awareness towards the issues and benefits of using the electronic wallet (E-wallet).

DATA GATHERING PROCEDURE

The researcher will gather the data from Kapt. Pepe, Cabanatuan City. After the

questionnaire has been checked by the adviser, the researchers began the distribution.

The following presents the steps followed by the researcher in data gathering:

STEP 1. Formulation and validation of the research instrument.

STEP 2. Collection data from respondents through an online survey with the help of the advisers.

STEP 3. Analysis and comparison of results.

STEP 4. Tabulation and drawing of conclusions of the study.

All information obtained will be kept strictly confidential and will only be utilized for the

purposes of this academic study. In this study, the names of the respondents were not published;
nevertheless, other characteristics such as the respondents' profile were used to represent the

findings.

STATISTICAL TREATMENT OF DATA

The response made by students describing their profile were presented. In providing overall

picture of the profile, as well as the effects of physical activity in academic performance,

summary presentation will also presented.

Percentage and Frequency count - This will be used to determine or compare the proportion of

frequent answers to the overall number of responses. This will be used to evaluate the data

depending on how often respondents selected a certain response.
