Gentle Hands

Gentle Hands, Inc. is a child and youth welfare agency meant to be on the front
lines of rescue (in coordination with Local Government Units) and rehabilitation of the
medical, social, psychological, and educational needs of at-risk children and youth,
advocating for the rights of children and working towards improving human community
life through the love of Jesus and family centered care.

Contribution:

Gentle hands is a front lines child welfare agency dedicated to the rescue and
rehabilitation of at-risk children in the Philippines. It houses more than 50 babies and
children, and assists them in all in various stages of rehabilitation, legal paperwork,
adoption, and reunification. This children’s home acts as a life changing sanctuary for
many abused and abandoned children in the Philippines. It is one of only five agencies
in the whole country which has a license to recruit and license foster families. This
home is a strong voice for advocacy of child rights in the Philippines. s, so they can
enroll in school and have a chance at succeeding

What are their endeavours that inspires you as a youth?

Gentle hands is a child and youth welfare agency meant to be on the front lines
for the rights of children and working towards improving human community life through
the love of Jesus and family centered care. As a youth it inspires me to give hands to
the people who need help as much as I could do at my best. It inspires me to provide
protection in the future for the people especially to the children from abuse, exploitation
and discrimination by donation, raising awareness and as a volunteer to any
organization so that the children can have a safe and loving environment in which the
children are able to be in a safe place of healing, and learn what it means to be loved,
and to have their rights respected. And also it inspires me to treat well other people
especially children that they always want attention and love from love ones or other
people. Being kind is the key for a better society because they are the future of
humanity.

World Vision Philippines

World Vision is a thread that brings people together, enabling Filipinos to build a better

enjoy good health, protected of their rights, nurtured and cared for. Working alongside
trusted donors and partners, they support thousands of children through our
development programs, emergency response, local advocacies, awareness campaigns
and projects in 34 provinces across the country.

What are their endeavours that inspires you as a youth?

World Vision is the world's largest international children's charity. For 56 years in
the Philippines, they bring everyday hope to thousands of children in the hardest places
of rural and urban poor areas as a sign of God's unconditional love. As a youth it
inspires me to help people as much as I could by raising donations because there’s no
small things if it springs from your will and you are happy with what you are doing for
other people. In today’s world, where there is so much injustice, inequality, hatred and
discrimination, we need the strengths of every children and youths to overcome and
voices to be heard. It also inspires me to provide support, guidance, resources and
opportunities to be able to maximize the potential of the children as much as I can
provide something even in a simple way. Helping hand is great way to help other people
after all who else will work together but us.
