QUESTION 1

1. COPING STRATEGIES FOR HANDLING STRESS

• Teachers face a lot of challenges while teaching, it’s never easy, everyday it’s a
different story. Stress is unavoidable. As difficult it is to be a teacher and stress that
comes with it, there are ways of dealing with stress. There are methods that teachers
can use to lessen their stress and help them cope in good way.

• Prioritize - Teachers have a lot on their plate, lesson planning, grading, meeting,
paperwork and problem-solving (decision making). The reality is, as much as teachers
want to be heroes or heroines, they cannot do everything at the same time. In order
to lessen stress, one needs prioritize and do things that are most important. This
takes some soul searching and some reflection.
• Get Support - Sharing your day-to-day challenges with someone can help you cope
with stress. Rather speak to someone than bottling up all your feelings and
internalizing them, which may lead to health issues.
• Eliminate or modify stressors in your environment.
• Try to say no to unnecessary demands.
• Master the art of renewing your mind at any given time by balancing your emotions
through gratitude and through relaxation techniques.

2. CONSEQUENCES OF EDUCATORS “NEGATIVE ANGER BEHAVIORS IN THE

CLASSROOM”

Some behaviours are not allowed or appropriate in the classroom environment.

Teachers tend to make a mistake of not always minding their behaviour towards
learners. Every behaviour has its own positive and negative impact on learners.
Teachers can make a friendly learning environment if they wanted to, that is why it is
said” to became you need to be matured enough, be patience and determined”.
Below I have listed 4 negative anger behaviour in the classroom and their
consequences.
• Disruptive Learning Environment – yelling, belittling and intimidating can
cause anxiety and distress among learners. Learners who feel intimidated or
unsafe in the classroom, don’t participate in class, they are even afraid to ask
assistance from the teacher, which results to lower academic performance.
• Decreased Motivation – learners like to be always reassured by teachers that
they will succeed in life. When learners are constantly exposed to anger,
unhealthy environment, they begin to feel like they cannot succeed, which
decreases the willingness to try.

• Damaged Teacher-Student Relationship- if there is lack of trust between a
teacher and learner, it is always impossible for learners to engage in any
classroom activities. It is even hard for teachers to manage the class.
• Exploding and Throwing tantrums – learners tend to lose concentration easy,
if the teacher is exploding. Negative anger behaviour has a huge impact on
the academic performance. It’s even making it hard for learners to learn
because they are afraid of the teacher.

QUESTION 2

1. CHARACTERISTICS OF THE MILLENNIAL GENERATION

• Multitask on everything – they can do several tasks easily at the same time without
having any difficulties. For instance, playing music while studying for an exam.
• Prefer teamwork and collaboration – they prefer working in groups than alone and
they like sharing their experiment with others.
• Adaptability – are good at accepting change even if they are at a different or new
environment.
• Technology savvy – communicate more through technology than in person, they do
blogs, tweets to acquire information.
• Emotionally open – they socialize with people easily despite the fact that they just
met, and they prefer an environment where they can be able to express their feeling
easily.
• Learn by inductive discovery – prefer to learn by performing tasks rather than being
told what to do. Millennials are kinaesthetic, experimental, hands on leraners.

2. EFFECTIVENESS STYLE OF MILLENNIAL GENERATION

Learning styles refer to how learners prefer to learn (using various methods) and how they
process the information. The most common learning styles are visual, auditory,
kinaesthetic, reading and writing. Below are learning styles of Millennial Generation.

• Visual learning – they prefer learning through graphs and visual which will capture
their attention and engage them (videos and images) helps them to learn better.
• Mobile learning – learners want quick learning that can be accessed anywhere,
anytime they want to access it.

the teaching and learning process.

QUESTION 3

1. FUNDAMENTAL MANAGEMENT FUNCTION IN THE CLASSROOM

Teachers are expected to have good management skills. Classroom management may
be seen as all the provisions and procedures that the teacher uses to create and
maintain a classroom environment in which teaching and learning can occurs to be
successful. There are four primary management functions in the classroom.

• Planning – this function determines in advance what learning must be

achieved at a certain time and how will this be achieved. It gives the
directions to the educator’s managerial tasks. Without planning, all activities
are haphazard and without a direction.
• Organising – how everything is put into action (which resources to use, how
this should happen and who should be responsible). This management
function amounts to the creation of an environment for effective teaching
and learning. This means learners are placed in the classroom where the
teaching task should be performed.
• Leadership – the teacher has to lead at all times and convert plans to reality.
The teacher needs to give directions to ensure that all required tasks are
performed effectively.
• Control – the use of control mechanisms is to check whether learning has
been realised into an integral part planning, but at the same time a
management activity.
