LG1 What is Management? What is the role of Management?
-getting things done with aid of the resources and people

LG3 What are stakeholders?


Individuals/groups or organizations who influence or are influenced by the company.

LG4 How do you transfer tangible/intangible resources into valuable goods?


tangible: physical assets(object, people,…)
intangible: nonphysical assets(reputation,…)

People need to know/understand the customers.


In order to make a product we need tangible AND intangible assets.

LG5 Which responsibilities does a manager have?

- Different type of managers have different kind of responsibilities.


- In common  achieve a goal ( way to each goal differs for every type of managers)
- need to adapt their skills to their context to be more efficient
- They have to delegate but there is still stuff only they can do
- Working with humans, financial and physical resources to achieve organizational
objectives
LG6 Shall managers make use of models or their own experience?
-Managers have to balance the use of models and their own experience to be the most
effective
 Important: have the theoretical base for everyday management (structure)
BUT for unique situations managers have to use their own experience to adapt to a
new problem
-Certain models can help to structure a new problem
-Managers have to think critically to be able to choose what is best for each situations

LG7 Pros and Cons of models

LG9 Do the different departments play a role for models or experience?


-Yes, depending on the department, Managers have to tackle their problems differently
-Combine models to create optimal solution
-Different departments face different problems
