CHRISTIANITY

(a) Things I knew about Christianity before research:

Before conducting the research, I was already aware of the foundational beliefs of Christianity, including
the centrality of Jesus Christ, the Bible as the holy scripture, and the importance of concepts like
salvation and redemption. I also knew about major Christian celebrations such as Christmas and Easter.
Additionally, I had a general understanding of the global spread of Christianity.

(b) Things I discovered after research:

Through research, I gained a more detailed understanding of the demographic distribution of Christians
globally, with insights into the top countries with the largest Christian populations. I also delved into the
influence of Christianity on various aspects of life, including politics, social issues, and economics. The
specific traditions like Baptism and Communion became clearer, and I gained a deeper appreciation for
the role of Christian values in shaping moral and ethical discussions.

(c) Things that interested me and I want to learn more:

I found the interplay between Christianity and global affairs, especially in the realms of politics and
economics, particularly interesting. I would like to explore more about how Christian principles interact
with and sometimes conflict with various cultural and political contexts worldwide.

(d) Things I appreciated after learning them:

I gained an appreciation for the diversity within Christianity, not just in terms of denominations but also
in how its teachings are interpreted and applied across different cultures. This diversity contributes to
the adaptability and resilience of Christianity as a global force.

(e) Things I realized about religion in relation to globalization:

One realization is the intricate relationship between religion, in this case, Christianity, and globalization.
Christianity serves as a cultural bridge, influencing not only spiritual and moral aspects but also playing a
role in shaping political ideologies and economic discussions on a global scale. This underscores the
importance of understanding the cultural and religious dimensions in discussions about globalization and
its impacts on societies worldwide.
