CURRENCY PAIRS

EUR/USD Currency Pair. If the live chart show thats it's updrend. Does it mean that base currency
is stronger because you need more Quote Currency to get 1 EUR?

Yes, that's correct. In a currency pair like EUR/USD, the direction of the trend can
provide information about the relative strength between the base currency (EUR) and
the quote currency (USD). If the live chart shows an uptrend in EUR/USD, it means that
the euro (EUR) is strengthening against the U.S. dollar (USD).

In an uptrend, it takes more units of the quote currency (USD) to purchase one unit of
the base currency (EUR), indicating that the base currency (EUR) has become stronger.
Conversely, in a downtrend, it would take fewer units of the quote currency (USD) to buy
one unit of the base currency (EUR), suggesting that the base currency (EUR) is
weakening relative to the quote currency (USD).

EUR/USD =1.14020
1 EUR = 1.14020
Base Quote

Base Currency – is the Currency we are trying to Ask (Buy) or Bid (Sell).
If we are Buying the Base Currency it means we are selling the Quote Currency.
If we are Selling the Base Currency it menas we are Buying the Quote Currency.
tatement is correct.

Let's break it down:

1. Base Currency: This is the first currency listed in a currency pair. It is the currency you are
either buying or selling.
2. Quote Currency: This is the second currency in a currency pair. It is the currency in which
you are expressing the value of the base currency.

In the context of buying and selling:

 Buying the Base Currency: This means you are buying the first currency (the base) and
simultaneously selling the second currency (the quote). This is known as going long or taking
a long position.
 Selling the Base Currency: This means you are selling the first currency (the base) and
simultaneously buying the second currency (the quote). This is known as going short or
taking a short position.

So, your understanding is correct. If you're buying the base currency, you are, in essence, selling the
quote currency, and if you're selling the base currency, you are buying the quote currency.
