USE OF GADGETS IN THE CAMPUS

Should the use of Gadgets be Limited Inside the Campus

Gadget is a powerful tool that is used for many purpose. It helps anyone, especially the students.
But, the use of gadgets in the campus may cause a big disturbance to the students. With this, I agree
with the proposition of limiting the use of gadgets in the campus.

The school head should implement limiting the use of gadgets in the campus because, gadgets may
affect the academic performance of the students. Based on my observation, majority of the students
became less productive to their classes because of the existence of their gadgets. Instead of thinking
critically, they are using gadgets to access the internet and use the different artificial intelligence (AI)
applications to find answers for their activities.

Everyone has the rights to use gadgets but, Inside the school campus, it should be minimized. Using
gadgets in the campus may lead to poor study concentration. As I observed, students uses their gadgets
for non-academic purposes during classes that leads them to poor concentration.

The use of gadgets in the campus should be limited. Using this can create avenue for cheating.
According to survey of International Center of Academic Integrity (ICAI), 65-759 of student admit that
they use their gadgets to cheat during exams.

On the other hand, using gadgets in the campus enhances the learning process of students. But,
according to Shri Harini, a researcher, using gadgets in enhancing the learning process of students can
lead to lack of interest to their day-to-day activities.

To sum up, using gadgets in the campus has its regative effects to students. The school’s staff should
restrict the use of gadgets in the campus during class hours and allow them to use it if it is for
educational purposes and authorized by the teacher.
