Passing the Baton: A New Leader Takes the Helm: DPWH Cotabato 3rd DEO

Welcomes New Leadership; Formal Turnover of Responsibility Held

The Department of Public Works and Highways Cotabato 3 rd District Engineering Office witnessed the
ceremonial turnover of leadership and key of responsibility from District Engineer Mamintal T. Taha,
Ph.D., whom recently retired from service, to the incoming OIC-District Engineer Saidale M. Mitmug,
MPA, Asean Engr. on August 22, 2023, held at the district office grounds.

The valuable works and contribution by District Engineer Mamintal T. Taha, Ph.D., paves evidence by the
presence and testimonies of various colleagues from service, especially those of the section chiefs, rank
and file and contract of service workers of the district, as everyone bid farewell with gratitude and
respect. He will be remembered as a man of wisdom and of good leadership.

The occasion embarks not only a change in leadership but also a continuation of commitment to
excellence, growth and a pursuit to collective goals, which OIC-District Engineer Saidale M. Mitmug is
determined to uphold.

Looking back, the District Engineering Office was established in 2019 and being the newest DEO in
Region XII. It managed to become the 3 rd best in performing in Disbursement Rate for prior years besting
over 195 Engineering Offices nationwide. A remarkable milestone, leaving a leap of legacy in the rich
history of the department.

With the new leadership shaping the District Engineering Office, it will not be short of great enthusiasm
in serving the public. The sail of the ship will remain focus and steadfast in Public Service, Integrity,
Professionalism, and Teamwork, as OIC- District Engineer Saidale M. Mitmug leading the way.
