SYMPTOMS

Some inbound transactions fail; and the following error code can be seen in ECX_INBOUND_LOGS table:

Error:

ECX_RULE_INVALID_TP_SETUP

CAUSE

The PARTY_SITE_ID is null in the problematic XML message; however this is mandatory information.

This is explained in Oracle XML Gateway User’s Guide (in Standard XML Messages section):

"The required data in the XML Gateway envelope to identify standard XML messages is:

MESSAGE_STANDARD
TRANSACTION_TYPE
TRANSACTION_SUBTYPE
PARTY_SITE_ID
ATTRIBUTE3
PAYLOAD"

So PARTY_SITE_ID is required in the message envelope.

SOLUTION

To implement the solution, please execute the following steps:

1. Contact the trading partner that sends this message

2. ask him/her to provide a value for PARTY_SITE_ID in the envelope of the message
