A) Checking of Foam Monitor
Examine the foam monitor for any visible damage, corrosion, or wear.
Check the condition of mechanical parts, joints, and structural integrity.
Inspect the control mechanisms, including valves, levers, and operating handles, for proper
functionality.
Verify that control movements are smooth and unhindered.
Inspect foam discharge nozzles for blockages, corrosion, or damage.
Ensure that nozzles are properly aligned.
Check the condition of foam solution piping and tubing for leaks, cracks, or signs of
deterioration.
Verify the tightness of connections and fittings.
Examine electrical connections, wiring, and components for signs of wear, corrosion, or loose
connections.
Document test results, observations, and any corrective actions taken.
Inspect the entire fire hose reel unit for any visible damage, corrosion, or wear.
Inspect the nozzle for any blockages or damage.
Verify the smooth operation of the swinging arm and the stop valve.
Test the functionality of the shut-off valve to ensure it can be easily opened and closed.
Test & confirm that there is adequate water pressure available for the fire hose reel.
Adjust the PRV to maintains the desired operating pressure.
Ensure that proper signage indicating the location of the fire hose reel is visible and
undamaged.
Confirm that the hose reel is easily accessible without obstruction.
Document test results, observations, and any corrective actions taken.
Examine the breaching inlet for any visible damage, corrosion, or wear.
Inspect the overall condition of the inlet, including Cabinet and fixings.
Inspect seals and gaskets for signs of deterioration or damage.
Verify the functionality of the swivel connection.
Check all threaded connections for tightness and security.
Confirm that there are no obstructions or barriers preventing access.
Verify that proper signage is provided.
Document observations, and any corrective actions taken.
