A Tour to My University

Children go to University after finishing their Highschool Degree. The university offers
the Bachelor Degree which is necessary for their job. The University is a place where
teenagers learn both academic education and lessons about the real world. It is also similar to
the army before taking a battle. As for me, university means a lot more than school.
My university is Yangon University of Economics, in short; YUECO. There are three
campuses in different places such as Kamayut Campus, Hlaing Campus, and Ywar Thar Gyi
Campus. Kamayut Campus is for Third year students and up to Master students. Hlaing
Campus is for first year and second year students. The last, Ywar Thar Gyi Campus, is
covered for all years but it is a bit far from the town meanwhile the rest are in downtown. All
the campuses are exactly the same that give massive knowledge and opportunities to the
students. There are a total of eight majors and students can choose what they are interested in.
These majors are Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration,
Economics, Statistics, Development Studies, and Population Studies. YUECO is suitable for
students who want to do business in the future. It gives higher learning for training
professionals in the field of economics. As all the majors are about calculation and
management, the student will be able to use them well in the workplace. The qualified
teachers of YUECO are the most valued and the satisfaction is that students are able to learn
the subjects without the need of tuition. All of the students could join the Certified Public
Accountant, CPA, directly as soon as they graduate and they don’t need any entrance
examination for CPA. The university also provides Diploma courses and Certificate courses
for both undergraduate and graduated students. These courses are useful for career prospects
and can deepen the understanding of the subject. YUECO is a member of ASEAN University
Network (AUN) and is affiliated with foreign universities and offers scholarships to students.
YUECO is one of the highest ranking universities in Myanmar and the students are clever
enough to satisfy business owners who are likely to pay higher salaries.Graduates from
YUECO will have a huge advantage over other applicants as the university helps us to gain
expert knowledge on skills needed.
Teen university students need not only educational benefits but also basic matters like
safety, food, and shelter. The university has hostels for students from different hometowns to
live in. Living in a hostel is quite convenient rather than living off campus, especially for the
students from distant parts. On the other hand, the hostel is unlike a home but it provides
most of the students’ needs as much as possible. For daily meals, the hostel offers two meals
that are lunch and dinner. Students can have their breakfast at the school canteen. Teenagers
of our ages need to get adequate nutrients so that they can grow and study well. Nevertheless,
the students can not expect the hostel meals to be as good as restaurants like the way they
want. Necessarily, the daily meals need to be healthy and nourishing enough. In addition, the
university supports classroom facilities. Classroom facilities are one of the most important
needs for improving outcomes of both teachers and students. Without adequate facilities and
resources, it is difficult to serve a large number of students with complex needs. In my
university, there are rooms for Library and Computer. The use of technology in the classroom
is the method of teaching and learning in the twenty-first century. The university also has a
social media platform to deliver the information related to the classes. The communication
channels used by YUECO are magazines, bill-boards, and facebook. The admin team is
always trying to keep in contact with students to upload new information about master classes
and other courses and they always give quick responses to the students. It is quite obvious
that the university has provided so many facilities to the students.
For those best facilities, Yangon University of Economics always gets a good image and
impression. Students who are interested in business want to join the university as it is
regarded as the Center of Excellent.
