In 1854, Smith & Wesson patented their

first lever gun, the Volcanic lever-action.
Honoring that historic milestone, the
classic American lever gun is reborn as
the Smith & Wesson 1854 Series, the first
to incorporate the feel of our revered
large-frame revolver's smooth, crisp
action, and clean craftsmanship.

CAPACITY ACCESSORY COMPATIBILITY PERFORMANCE

The Model 1854 lever-action
rifle is chambered in 44 Rem
Mag, has a 9+1 capacity, and
includes a removable
magazine tube to allow for
easy and safe unloading of
the firearm.
Included on the rifle is a
Picatinny rail that accepts
mounts compatible with the
Marlin® 1894 hole pattern.
The Stainless Steel model
also includes an M-LOK ®
synthetic forend with textured
grip panels.
The Model 1854 is designed
with a Flat Trigger for
consistent finger placement to
aid in accuracy when firing.
The large loop lever provides
increased surface area to
allow for cycling the smooth
action with or without gloves.
