This is where 80% of detail businesses live and unfortunately die. I want to identify what this
type of biz looks like - and if this is you, no fear because I’ll show you what’s keeping you from
breaking through this level and how you can start making $10k+ per month in no time.
Level 1 Detail Business Stats

Less than 30 jobs per month (most are less than 15)
Less than $10,000/mo in revenue
Staff consists of just the owner which does reception & sales calls, car detailing, and
admin tasks all by themselves.
This setup typically consists of a personal car used for mobile jobs or an at home garage
for clients to drop-off vehicles.
At this level, the owner is wearing all of the hats, and they’re spinning their wheels
trying to get past the $10,000/mo mark.
The Biggest Problem

If this is you, the primary reason detail owners at this level are unable to grow is because their
business lacks a consistent stream of new clients.
Why? Well, a lot of detailers at this stage aren't really tapping into all the free ways to get
clients, and when they do run ads, they often end up losing money. It's all about having the
right strategy, and without that, it's hard to make the leap to full-time detailing.
Good news is, if you’re here, getting to Level 2 is easy. Very easy and I’ll show you how to
solve
the “Getting More Clients” problem in Section 2.

Biggest Problem
Hiring The Right Team

This is where it gets fun as a detail owner because at this level it’s very easy to scale past
$50,000/mo. In fact, we typically see detail owners do this in less than 3 months using the
right systems.

Between $10,000 to $50,000/mo in revenue
Staff consists of 1-3 detailers handling most of the job fulfillment while the owner oversees
all projects, takes phone calls to book jobs, and works on admin tasks such as payroll duty
and marketing.
This setup typically consists of 1-2 vans used for mobile detailing and a garage/shop
space to keep stock of tools/supplies as well as for clients to drop-off their cars.
At this level, the owner might still detail some cars here and there but has been able to move
some responsibilities to their team.
The Biggest Problem

Now if you’re here, the primary reason detail owners at this level are unable to grow is because
their business lacks both a consistently profitable “Getting More Clients” system AND they
don’t have a system for properly hiring and training employees.
Not only are they inconsistent in getting new clients in every single month, but they are also
struggling to keep their employees busy. What’s sad is that most detail owners at this level (or
any level) will say they don’t have a problem even when their ship is sinking.
But when asked how long they’ve been in roughly the same spot, they’ll say for a few months
to even a few years - even though they detail around 50-150 cars per month.
Solving both problems takes our business to the next level within 90 days and you can do the
same.
We’ll cover the “Hiring A Team” problem in Section 3.

EXPANSION
LEVEL 3 = AKA AUTOMATION

If you’re at this level, you’re making more revenue than 95% of detail businesses in the world.
You might even be completely fine with where you’re at - which is totally fine with me.
But if you want to reach more people, make more money, create a high performance team, and
break the $100k/mo mark while automating your entire business... keep reading.

Over $50,000/mo in revenue but less than $100,000/mo
Staff consists of the owner, 4-8 detailers, and a manager who oversees all jobs and doubles
as an admin/front desk person to help with phone calls and bookings as well as help run
payroll and manage marketing. Possibly an assistant to help run things smoother.
This setup typically consists of 3-4 vans used for mobile detailing, a dedicated detailing
shop for ceramic coatings and dealership clients which you help staff with your own
detailers for subcontractor work. For Example my company GoDetail helps: Tesla, Carvana,
Toyota, etc..
At this level, the owner may still be involved but if you’ve gotten to this point, you probably have
at least one other person who can keep the business running without you for a period of time.
The Biggest Problem

If this is you, the primary reason detail owners at this level are unable to grow to $100k+ months
and AUTOMATE their business is because they still lack a few things...
1. “Getting More Clients” System - still a problem here and if the systems aren’t in place to
make “Getting More Clients” an automated process then it really puts the brakes on scaling
and growth.
2. Teams - we are only as good as our teams at this level. If you have an underperforming team
or lack the ability to find, hire, train, and retain top talent you will never grow - regardless of
how hard you try.
3. EXPANSION - at this stage, having streamlined operational procedures is crucial. These are
the systems and processes that keep your business running smoothly, from how you
manage day-to-day tasks to how you track performance and handle customer interactions.
Without efficient operational procedures, your business may struggle with inefficiencies and
inconsistencies, which can hinder growth and impact the quality of service.
We will cover how to solve the “EXPANSION” problem in Section 4.
