Subject: Option for Pay Fixation on Promotion under FR 22(I)(a)(1).

Sir,
I have the honour to state that I, Dr Akila Shemim, Assistant Professor, Deptt. of Political
Science, Mankachar College, have been promoted to the post of Assistant Professor (Stage-2
under CAS) vide DHE’s office order/notification No. DHE/CE/ UGC/769/2022/65, dated 19-
02-2022 in the Academic Level 11 of the UGC Pay Matrix (7th revised pay) with effect from
15-02-2019.

That sir, I do hereby opt to fix my pay on promotion as under:

That my pay may kindly be fixed on the higher level from the date of next increment in
the lower post (i.e., Assistant Professor, Stage-1) with effect from 01-07-2019, instead of
the date of effect of my promotion, based on the provisions of FR 22(I)(a)(1).

Undertaking
I hereby undertake that any excess payment that may be found to have been made as a result
of incorrect fixation of pay or any excess payment detected in the light of discrepancies
noticed subsequently will be refunded by me to the Government either by adjustment future
payments due to me or otherwise.
