THE POLICE

the band
The Police was a british band since 1977. The leader was Sting.
He was the composer of the most famouse songs of the group.
They are considered the first "New Wave" group and they
achieved success in the early 1980s when they pubblicated the
album "Outlandos d'Amour" and "Reggatta de Blanc".
The band disbanded in 1984 but in 1986 they reunited and
toured in 2007-2008.
Over the course of their career they sold around 75 million
records
