This study aimed to gather information of the average weekly net sales profit of
Taclobo National High School’s food vendors. Purposive sampling was used which
included (7) seven food vendors inside the Taclobo National High School. This study
utilized quantitative research design through one on one interviews specifically, non-
experimental, through the use of a validated interview questionnaire. It was found out
that (2) two out of the (7) seven vendors has no profit for the said week in October 2023.
There were also (2) vendors who just got back their capital for the week. The rest earned
a good profit for the week. It is apparent that the sales of the (7) seven vendors were

Chapter 1
The Problem and It’s Scope
Introduction
Taclobo National High School’s food vendors for the most part, are average and less
fortunate. They need a standard of living that will enable them to succeed and elevate
their family out of poverty. Low-income countries favor necessity entrepreneurship as a
motivational factors for women entrepreneurs in the creation of new business ventures,
such business useful and tangible way for woman irrespective of belonging to any
particular group to empower themselves and provide for their families. (Jude A. Ph.D et
al.)
Our economy occasionally becoming worse, as we may see on televion, hear it on
radios, or even see it for ourselves. In this situation, small time entrepreneur specifically
canteen food vendors are doing their best to put all of their products and much more
affordable price that the students can afford. The primary goal of the research is to
ascertain whether these canteen vendors at Taclobo National High School are still turning
a profit from their operation despite of the current economic crisis that our country is
facing.
The researchers would require, in order to obtain these findings the vendors must
provide the following:

*Total revenue for the said week in October 2023.
* Family expenses on the said week on October 2023
*Total net revenue or total profit for the said week of October 2023

Review of Related Literature
In this day and age, a prudent method is needed to make money. Like entrepreneurs it
is necessary to be prudent in thinking of business strategy. In the crisis that our country is
facing now, it is so difficult for small entrepreneurs to earn, especially because they only
allocate meager capital for their small business. An example of that is the canteen
vendors in school, it is difficult for a canteen vendor to give a high price for their
products especially the one who will buy their products are students. Students that are
sometimes has no money allowance due to poverty. (Patrice E.L & Maureen B.M 2008)
Poverty is a persistent problem throughout the world and has deleterious impacts on
almost all aspects of family life and outcomes for children.
The start of what is now termed “Great Recession” began in December 2007 and
statistically end in June 2009, yet small businesses continue to struggle financially in
2012 (Patrick Geho R.) . SharitBhowmik (2005), in his investigation “Food Vendors in
Asia: A Review’s examination the food vendors, particularly in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka,
and Bangkok (Thailand), India, Singapore, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Vietnam’s Hanoi,
Cambodia and Seoul. The examination analyzed the importance of road distributing
different countries. The evaluation discovered that the number of food vendors in the
countries was rising. The quantity increased in light contraction of occupations in official
zones while there is no work to be done.
This factor is common in Vietnam, Cambodia, Bangladesh, and Nepal. Asian tigers
are tigers, the number of counties, including Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, the
Philippines and Korea, quickly increased of food vendors following the 1998 financial
catastrophe. The government of each and every most Asian countries no longer view road
distributing as being legal.

NarumolNirathron (2006)’s paper titled ‘Fighting Poverty from the Street-Survey on
‘Street Food Vendors in Bangkok’ was based on 3856 purchasers and 744 street vendors
meals from Bangkok Metropolis’s Klogtoey and Dindaeng neighborhoods. The research
showed that most of the vendors-about 88%-were immigrants. Most people did not start
out selling food at stands vendors. Many of them had previously worked in manual labor,
farming and other related fields. Workforce and monthly salary. About 56% of people
were street vendors individually. Operations, of which 44% were family businesses. Only
48% vendors said they wanted to be independent. Roughly 97% thought that vending
offered a lot of potential for income 80% or earned.
D.Saha(2011)’s study indicated that Mumbai’s street merchants are among the
most portions of the working poor in cities that are weak and miserable. They obtain a
living by hostile environment, with constant demand from all parties-the local
government, the police, community organizations, civic leaders and moneylenders. Only
by way of joining the hands so that they can work together to fulfill their demands. The
minimal rate, it is clear from active union membership that vendors are aware of their
rights and generally lacks responsibility. Intermediaries profit from the slackness of
association between the vendors and take full use of this.

included in the types on non-experimental research design for quantitative research.
Descriptive research aims to accurately and systematically describe a population,
situation or phenomenon. It can answer what, where, when and how questions, but not
why questions. A descriptive research design can use a wide variety of research methods
to investigate one or more variables.
Research Environment
The study will be conducted at Taclobo National High School. It is located in
West Taclobo, in the boundary of Barangay Batinguel and Taclobo, going inside Pal
Subdivision.
Research Procedure
In this study firstly the researchers come up with this topic due to what they

the arithmetical average obtained by adding all the arithmetical scores divided by the
number of cases as presented by the formula.

Summary of Findings, Conclusions, Recommendations
Summary of Finding
The researchers conducted the study to determine the average weekly net profit of
Taclobo National High School’s food vendors. The respondents are all food vendors
inside Taclobo National High School. The researchers limit the study into a one (1) week
duration. The study has a descriptive design, one on one interview with the population
has been conducted to gather the data needed. Weighted mean has been used to come up
with the result data.
How much is the average weekly net profit of Taclobo National High School’s food
vendors in October 2023? (wx. 970php average net profit income of the food vendors for
the said week)
The following data and findings that the researchers got during in a one on one
interview. What is the payment term basis for rentals? How much? (Daily term basis or
they pay their rentals every day and that would cost them 300php). How much did the
vendors spent for capital? (the vendors spent this amount wx. 3728.57 for capital). How
much did the vendors spent for the rest of the week for foods and other essential needs of
the family? ( the vendors spent wx. 1164.29 for their weekly expenses). What are their
other source of income? (only one has an extra income which is a piso wifi vendo
machine). Total net profit that they earn.(the vendors has a range of earning wx. 970php
as a weekly need profit income). What implications /interventions can be drawn from the
findings?(because of what our community are experiencing in our community there are
lots of food vendors decided to put an end to their business. Keep on spending and adding
to their capital but instead of earning it turns out they got losses from their capital).
10
Conclusions
The researchers solved for the average net income of the food vendors. And it
turns out that some of the vendors actually don’t earn for the week.
Regarding with their rentals/daily rental, is one of the factors why some of the
vendors got loss with their capital.
Daily expenses would sometimes affect our daily budgeting.
Now a days there were lots of Filipino who has side lines for income. In the kind
of economy the Philippines has, it would be so difficult for an individual to earn
that much.
There were lots of extra income sidelines who offer minimum salary rate.
Recommendations
it is better for an entrepreneur to be prudent in choosing a business to enter.
if you feel like you don't belong for the line of business you've chosen, don't force
it. If someone wants to prove something, then they must do it in a way that doesn't
waste their investment.
an entrepreneur is a risk taker, with bolder and holistic thinking.
In choosing the right business, asking for an advice from an expert or a friend
would be a good help
