DREAMS – VISIONS OF THE NIGHT!

Throughout the ages dreams and visions have always fascinated or frightened people.

One night in the second year of his reign, Nebuchadnezzar had a terrifying dream nightmare and awoke
trembling with fear. And to make matters worse, he couldn’t remember his dream!...

Genesis 37:5–7 (TLB)

One night Joseph had a dream and promptly and proudly announced the details to his brothers… 7 “We were
out in the field binding sheaves, and my sheaf stood up, and your sheaves all gathered around it and bowed
low before it!”
Our fascination for dreams can invite demons of mysticism, occultism, new age attractions that eventually lead
to demonic control and destruction.
Our fear of terrifying dreams should lead us to ask the question, “WHY”. Why am I having these terrifying
dreams?
For this reason, our trust should never be in dreams, but in God who gives, or allows dreams.
Most people would agree that the events experienced in dreams and visions are too vivid and real to be
ignored. Concluding, they must contain life altering meanings behind them.
DEFINITION OF DREAMS:
 Dreams are a series of images or thoughts coupled with emotions, experienced in one’s mind while
asleep.
 Dreams are a means by which a divine message may be conveyed while the person sleeps.
THE BIBLE SPEAKS OF BOTH DIVINE AND DEMONIC DREAMS:

visions, I speak to them in dreams.

For the most part, dreams are revelations from the spirit realms.
In the spirit realm time doesn’t exist. Therefore, dreams and visions can reveal past, present, or future events.

Dreams are considered one of the most common and effective ways the spirit realm connects with human
beings.
There are many kinds of dreams and visions:
 PROPHETIC DREAMS AND VISIONS – messages from God that predicts future events/happenings.

“And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your
daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions.

 SYMBOLIC DREAMS AND VISIONS – visions of the night that needs interpretation to understand.

Then the chief butler told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, “Behold, in my dream a vine was
Before me, 10 and in the vine were three branches; it was as though it budded... 11 Then Pharaoh’s cup
was in my hand; …” 12 And Joseph said to him, “This is the interpretation of it: The three branches are
three days. 13 Now within three days Pharaoh will lift up your head and restore you to your place, and
you will put Pharaoh’s cup in his hand ...

 DREAMS OF THE HEART – may be produced by inner fears, concerns, anger, guilt of the heart, coupled
with lying spirits. And may or may not hold real significance. And can either be comforting or
tormenting.

 VISITATION DREAMS AND VISIONS –

 Jesus,
 Satan,
 Angels,
 Demons,
 Witches,
 Ghosts,
 Dead people…
 Unknown people

 DEMONIC DREAMS AND VISIONS – are inspired by the kingdom of darkness. With destructive intents.
 Nightmares
 torments,
 night terrors,
 pain,
 murders,
 helplessness,
 witches,
 ghosts,
 darkness
  isolation,
 torture,
 being caged,
 being chased,
 being raped,
 being hunted down
 involuntary sex,
 being mocked,
 dead people calling you, talking to you.
 physical violence…
Repeated demonic dreams may suggest the following.
 There has been an evil covenant made over your life by your ancestors.
 Witchcraft Curses have been past down to you through your bloodline.
 Gifted with Prophetic Sight and Sensitivity – SEER. Demons will deceitfully try to get you to use that gift
ability for destruction. (PLEASE NOTE: SOMETIMES DREAMING OF DEMONS CAN BE FROM GOD AND
HE EXPECTS YOU TO USE SPIRITUAL DISCERNMENT. BUT IT WILL NEVER BE ASSOCIATED WITH FEAR)
 You are opening doors to demons by what you are watching. By what you’re listening to.
 You are frequently associating yourself with people who are carrying dark spirits. Proverbs 10:20; 22:24
But even more importantly, dreams are also a place where deposits from the spirit realms are made into our
lives. Deposits that ultimately changes the course of a person’s life.
 God infuses spiritual abilities, giftings, talents, blessings, and even healings into our soul and body by
way of dreams.

At Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, “Ask! What shall I give
you?” 7 Now, O LORD my God, You have made me king instead of my father David, but … I do not know
how to lead your people. 9 Therefore give to Your servant heart of wisdom to judge Your people…

God said, behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise heart. 28 And all
Israel heard of the judgment which the king had rendered; and they feared the king, for they saw that
The wisdom of God was in him to administer justice.

MY PERSONAL TESTIMONY:
1. My ability to cast out demons, heal the sick, pray in tongues came by way of dreams.
2. My healing from covid-19 came by way of dream.
3. My debt free church building came by way of a dream.
4. My call to minister the Word of God with power and authority came by way of a dream.

 Satan also infuses spiritual abilities, giftings and talents, sicknesses and diseases into our soul and body
by way of dreams. THIS CAN ONLY HAPPEN TO A PERSON BECAUSE OF DEMONIC LEGAL RIGHTS.
God may choose to communicate directly in a dream, or interpretation may be necessary.
True Interpretation of dreams come from God alone, or through his chosen servants!
Interpretations sought through mediums, spiritists, witches, warlocks will be twisted, inconclusive, and
harmful due to lying spirits.
Genesis 40:8

And they said to him, “We each have had a dream, and there is no interpreter of it.” So Joseph said to them,
“Do not interpretations belong to God?”

God gave … Daniel understanding in all visions and dreams.
ALSO, as a born-again believer, you can ask the Holy Spirit to give you the interpretation of your dreams.
Dreams can be warnings from God that requires your input in either of two ways.
1. Dreams may require you Using your authority in Christ to bind/forbid future harmful happenings.
2. Dreams may be a way to warn you to prepare by way of prayer for what cannot be avoided. God has a
purpose even when we don’t understand it.
ALL REPEATED DEMONIC DREAMS AND NIGHT VISITATIONS CAN BE BROKEN IN THE NAME OF JESUS!
1. Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you what legal right demons may have in your life to torment
you and visit you in dreams and visions of the night.
2. When the Holy Spirit reveals the legal rights to you, renounce them in the name of Jesus.
3. Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with His glory in the area where the rights have been broken.
4. Ask the Holy Spirit to fill your life with good, godly dreams, and heavenly visitations.
5. Cover your mind, subconscious, and sleep with the blood of Jesus daily.
6. Live a pure life before God.
