MONITORING – to observer and check the progress or quality of someone/something over a period of time.

MONITORING SPIRITS – to observe and check the progress of someone, especially a believer, to stop, or hinder
God ordained plans and destinies for their life.

For every plan that God has for a believer, Satan has a plan to stop it. He does this through monitoring spirits.

Is the concept of “monitoring spirits” biblical? Are monitoring spirits real? Do they really work against
believers?

Monitoring spirits do far more than just eaves-drop on everything you do. They actually record your actions,
behaviours, and most importantly, they record EVERY WORD YOU SPEAK in order to give a report back to
Satan.

Monitoring spirits can be assigned to you as a disembodied spirit, a spirit through a person, a spirit through
objects, a spirit through animals, a spirit in dreams…

Let me just open your mind with scripture to the reality of “monitoring spirits”. And then we will get a little
more practical.

MONITORING SPIRITS IN THE LIFE OF JESUS!

Matthew 2:8,16 (NLT)

Then he told them, “Go to Bethlehem and search carefully for the child. And when you find him, come back
and tell me so that I can go and worship him, too!” 16 Herod was furious when he realized that the wise men
had outwitted him. He sent soldiers to kill all the boys in and around Bethlehem who were two years old and
under, based on the wise men’s report of the star’s first appearance.

that he would suffer many terrible things at the hands of the elders, the leading priests, and the teachers of
religious law. He would be killed, but on the third day he would be raised from the dead.

“This will never happen to you!” 23 Jesus turned to Peter and said, “Get away from me, Satan! You are a
dangerous trap to me. You are seeing things merely from a human point of view, not from God’s.”

MONITORING SPIRITS IN THE LIFE OF PAUL!

Acts 16:16–18 (NLT)

One day as we were going down to the place of prayer, we met a slave girl who had a spirit that enabled her
to tell the future. She earned a lot of money for her masters by telling fortunes. 17 She followed Paul and the
rest of us, ...” 18 This she did day after day until Paul got so exasperated that he turned and said to the demon
within her, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And instantly it left her.

MONITORING SPIRITS IN THE LIFE OF PETER!

Luke 22:31–32 (TPT)

“Peter, my dear friend, listen to what I’m about to tell you. Satan has demanded to come and sift you like
wheat and test your faith. 32 But I have prayed for you, Peter, that you would stay faithful to me no matter
what comes. Remember this: after you have turned back to me and have been restored, make it your life
mission to strengthen the faith of your brothers.”

MONITORING SPIRITS IN THE LIFE OF JOB!

Job 1:6–11 (NKJV)

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came
among them. 7 And the LORD said to Satan, “From where do you come?” So Satan answered the LORD and said,
“From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.” 8 Then the LORD said to Satan,
“Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man,
one who fears God and shuns evil?” 9 So Satan answered the LORD and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing?

Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side?
You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. 11 But now, stretch out
Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!”

MONITORING SPIRITS IN DREAMS!

Dreams are a part of the spiritual realm; therefore, dreams are timeless and most often times reveal your
future life before it comes to pass – whether good or bad.
Most of what people are presently going through in their lives, if studied, can be traced back to dreams.
And because of this, dreams should be taken seriously.
SERIOUSLY meaning – journaling, binding/forbidding negative dreams from becoming a reality.
Journaling, claiming, confessing, expecting godly dreams to be fulfilled.
Monitoring spirits can appear in your dreams in many different forms:
  Dreaming of a house without windows or doors.
 Dreaming of a cat staring you in the face.
 Dreaming of people finger pointing at you.
 Dreaming of someone recording what you’re doing.
 Dreaming of a weird bird following you.
Monitoring spirits can attack you through “EVIL EYE”.
Evil eye are people who for no good reason hate, dislike, speak evil against you, and even try to plot
harm against your progress and success in life.
In real time, monitoring spirits can be recognized with the peripheral vision.
 Seeing moving objects with the peripheral vision.
 Seeing dark moving shadows or images with the peripheral vision.
 Seeing drawings/images on walls that are not really a part of the wall.
 Having a real feeling that something invisible is watching you.
How to deal with monitoring spirits:
1. Resist them steadfast in the faith. GET SERIOUS WITH GOD!

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom
he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by
your brotherhood in the world.
a. Be determined to Keep your devotion to the Lord first place.
b. Commit your life completely to God. Leave no room for sin, rebellion or disobedience.
c. Don’t be distracted by your circumstances. Keep moving forward – God is always with you – you
always win!
d. Make godly confessions no matter what.
Timothy 4:7 (NKJV)

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

2. Keep spiritual revelations and personal commitments to God, secret. (except for your spiritual
authorities)
a. When God gives you dreams and visions for your future. Don’t tell the world. Monitoring spirits are
listening to counteract.
b. When you decide on personal commitments to the Lord. Don’t tell the world. Monitoring spirits in
people will try to stop it.

3. Take authority over monitoring spirits.

a. Bind and rebuke their unclean presence over and over again.
b. Loose the shed blood of Jesus as a wedge of separation between you and them.
Whether you believe in monitoring spirits or not is not the issue. They may just have you right where they
want you to be – in a mediocre relationship with God.
When they become apparent in your life is when you decide to rise to a higher, more intimate relationship
with Christ.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father,
I am determined to love and serve you under all circumstances of life through the Presence and Power of your
Holy Spirit living in me. I commit my spirit, soul, and body in consecration to you for your glory only. I humbly
ask you to break the yoke of monitoring spirits that have been assigned to my life. Father, break the yoke of
evil eyes assigned against me. Thank you that Jesus became a curse so I can be curse free. Your power is
greater than all monitoring spirits. I cling to your power to overcome them each day. Nothing will hinder or
stop my devotion to you. And nothing will hinder or stop your plans and purpose for my life, I receive freedom
now, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
